Abstract:The concept of"medical humanities"embodies multifaceted connotations,encompassing the medical humanistic spirit,medical humanistic care,medical humanities disciplines,and medical humanistic literacy.The institutionalization of medical humanities disciplines gained momentum in the mid-to-late 20th century and has currently exhibited a trajectory of globalization and diversification.The research core of modern medical humanities revolves around key issues such as disciplinary positioning and knowledge integration,optimization of clinical practice,and the construction of localized theories.Innovations in the research methodologies of medical humanities are manifested in the transcendence of traditional disciplinary boundaries,giving rise to interdisciplinary integration approaches including narrative medicine,digital humanities technologies,and participatory action research.Looking ahead,it is imperative to advance the in-depth integration of medicine and humanities and foster localized theoretical innovation,thereby propelling the progress of medical undertakings and enhancing human health and well-being.

Abstract:The Red Medical Spirit is a precious spiritual treasure formed by the Communist Party of China in the great practice of leading the development of medical and health undertakings,boasting profound medical humanistic connotations and ideological and political education value.From the perspective of medical humanism,this paper systematically expounds the core connotations of the Red Medical Spirit,namely"firm political stance,excellent professional skills,saving lives and healing the wounded,and hard work",as well as its contemporary significance in cultivating medical students' professional beliefs,ethical awareness and humanistic care capabilities.The paper deeply analyzes the internal mechanism of medical students' formation of universal recognition of the Red Medical Spirit from three stages:cognition,approval and identification.Furthermore,it puts forward multi-dimensional approaches,such as integrating the spirit into professional courses,constructing practical systems and strengthening ideological and political education,to realize the in-depth integration of the Red Medical Spirit and medical humanistic education.This study provides theoretical reference and practical guidance for fostering virtue through education in medical education and the inheritance of the Red Medical Spirit in the new era.

Abstract:This study systematically reviews the current research landscape of medical complaints in China,with the objectives of synthesizing key research themes,methodologies,and findings,while providing evidence-based recommendations for future research and practice improvement.A comprehensive literature search was conducted in the Wanfang database,yielding 154 eligible articles published from January 2010 to July 2025.Through content analysis,two predominant research themes were identified:(1)Descriptive analysis of complaint patterns,primarily employing retrospective methods to examine fundamental data including complaint incidence rates,departmental distribution characteristics,and causes of complaints;and(2)Complaint management studies,which incorporate multidisciplinary theoretical frameworks from psychology,behavioral economics,and management science to investigate process optimization,institutional development,and the establishment of preventive mechanisms and resolution models for medical complaints.Based on the analytical findings,this study proposes constructive recommendations from three dimensions-theoretical development,methodological innovation,and practical application-to advance China's medical complaint research system and enhance complaint management practices in healthcare institutions.

Abstract:The grassroots party branch in hospitals serves as the frontier for disseminating medical humanistic spirit within hospitals in the new era.This article starts with the construction of party branches in public hospitals,analyzes the current status of party branch construction in hospitals,explores the core values of medical humanism and its integration logic with party branch construction,and uses Foshan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital as a practical case.It integrates medical humanistic concepts into six aspects of party branch construction,including political construction,ideological construction,and organizational construction.It proposes and verifies specific measures such as integrating humanistic concepts into theoretical learning,endowing party branches with humanistic evaluation functions,and creating a humanistic outpatient service brand.These measures provide a reference for constructing a hospital Party branch construction model that conforms to the characteristics of the new era.

Abstract:Narrative medicine has profound application value in palliative care practice.Doctors with narrative ability can achieve harmony between doctors and patients in palliative care and help the dying end well.In the local palliative care practice services,the concept of"unity of nature and man"in our country's traditional culture has the same background as narrative medicine,which is reflected in two aspects:holistic thinking and the reconstruction of subject-object relationships.At the same time,the concept of"unity of nature and man"also gives a new narrative connotation to palliative care in the above two aspects,which is manifested in the"narrative of disease"to"narrative of life and death",from"individual narrative"to"ecological narrative";From"empathy"to"symbiosis",from"reflection"to"introspection".

Abstract:Objective To explore the importance,current situation,strategy and significance of integrating animal ethics education into medical functional medicine laboratory teaching,to promote the synergistic development of medical education and animal ethics,and to cultivate medical talents with professionalism and humanistic care.Methods We analyzed the current implementation of animal ethics education in teaching by focusing on the ethical issues of animal experiments in medical functional science experiments.Results It was found that the ethical problems of animal experiments are more prominent while supporting the skills training of medical students,and there is some room for improvement in the related education.Accordingly,strategies such as optimizing the experimental design and adding ethical courses were proposed.Conclusion The integration of animal ethics education is of great significance in promoting the development of medical education and the cultivation of comprehensive medical talents.

Abstract:The evolution of anatomical illustration reflects not only the progression of medical science,but also the intellectual journey of human self-discovery.During the Renaissance period,visionary figures such as Leonardo da Vinci transcended religious constraints by integrating scientific inquiry with artistic expression.Their pioneering work elevated anatomical studies beyond textual documentation through visual representation,creating illustrations that embodied both scientific precision and aesthetic merit.These works stimulated philosophical contemplation on the nature of life.This paper examines the historical development of anatomical illustration,discussing how anatomical atlases achieve the unity and sublimation of science and art.Drawing upon the author's professional experience in medical illustration,the paper demonstrates the value of anatomical art in conveying medical humanities.Furthermore,the research explores the application of medical visualization in public communication,where artistic interpretation enhances accessibility to specialized knowledge,facilitating effective dissemination of medical information.By serving as a vital link between scientific rationality and humanistic sensibility,anatomical illustration provides a practical framework for advancing medical humanities education and health communication.

Abstract:This article reviews the development of assisted reproductive technology(ART)worldwide and in China over the past 47 years.Centering on"technological progress and humanistic care",it elaborates on the leap from the birth of the first test-tube baby in 1988 in China to the current establishment of a complete technical system and the realization of clinical popularization.A service network has been formed by 633 compliant medical institutions and 29 sperm banks,with over 300,000 babies born annually.Technologies such as PGT and AI embryo assessment have reached the international leading level.Meanwhile,the state strictly supervises to safeguard patients' rights and interests.The article also directly addresses technical concerns,including the health risks of ovulation induction drugs to the mother,possible defects in the offspring caused by embryo manipulation,the practical predicament of egg and sperm freezing technology,as well as ethical and legal issues such as gender selection,surrogacy controversies and legislative gaps.Finally,it should be pointed out that future technology needs to move towards"precision and personalization",always adhering to the principle of"safety first and ethics foremost".Through improving regulations and conducting follow-up visits to the offspring,technology can truly become the"light of hope"that warms millions of families.

Abstract:This article analyzes the current situation of humanities education in geriatric medical education,the existing problems,and the need to integrate humanities education into geriatric medical education.It finds that the psychological state of elderly people is more easily influenced by complex environmental factors,making an emotional approach to treatment particularly important.Currently,the course design for geriatric medical education is incomplete and lacks humanistic qualities.Therefore,in terms of educational methods,immersive new ecological constructs for humanities education,collaboration between medicine and humanities to cultivate humanistic qualities,and innovative humanities education classroom training models can be adopted to integrate humanities education into theoretical teaching.Through these measures,medical humanities education can be better integrated into geriatric teaching courses,promoting the development of geriatric medical education and facilitating healthy aging.

Abstract:Objective To understand the current status of cognition regarding the"barefoot doctor spirit"and to provide data support and practical references for its further inheritance.Methods Based on a university student social practice program,a self-designed questionnaire was utilized,and convenience sampling method was applied to randomly distribute and collect data via the Wenjuanxing platform.Results A total of 208 individuals participated in this survey,with age and regional concentration,among whom 88.5％had heard of"barefoot doctors".Further investigation revealed that 66.3％were aware that barefoot doctors had received relatively short centralized training,57.6％believed that the diagnostic and treatment method was a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)and Western medicine.Cognition of the spiritual kernel(medically sincere heart,empathy for the suffering,protecting the underprivileged,rooted in the land)varied,with the highest recognition rate of 85.8％being rooted in the land.Furthermore,84.6％agreed that it is necessary for contemporary healthcare practitioners and medical students to inherit this spirit,and 70.5％expected to gain a deeper understanding of the barefoot doctor spirit or their stories by film and television works.Conclusion In the fields of contemporary medical humanities and healthcare practice,the barefoot doctor spirit retains perceived value among younger generations and within certain regions.

Abstract:In the development process of modern healthcare,the doctor-patient relationship is influenced by multiple factors such as economic logic,administrative power,and technological rationality,showing a certain degree of instrumentalization and alienation.The Marxist theory of communication provides a critical foundation for understanding and reconstructing doctor-patient relationships,and combined with the reconstruction dimension of Habermas' theory of communicative action,it helps to address the challenges currently faced by doctor-patient relationships.The study analyzes the alienation mechanism of doctor-patient relationship from ontology,media,ethics and other dimensions,proposes to draw on Habermas' principle of communicative rationality,integrate Chinese medical practice,and promote the return of doctor-patient relationship from"material relationship"to"human relationship"through institutional optimization,subject cultivation and cultural reconstruction,providing ethical basis for building a harmonious doctor-patient relationship with Chinese characteristics.

Abstract:Wan Fuen(1900-1961)graduated from Peking Union Medical College in 1927 with a doctoral degree and remained there to teach.He was a renowned field surgeon in China.Wan Fuen was determined to study surgery and participate in medical rescue work during his time at Peking Union Medical College,which played a guiding role in his becoming a renowned field surgeon.After graduation,Wan Fuen always put his patriotic feelings first and fought on the front line of battlefield rescue without hesitation,making significant contributions to Chinese battlefield rescue cause.This article intends to discuss Wan Fuen's deeds in leading medical personnel to participate in battlefield rescue during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the Korean War,and analyze the significant historical significance of his battlefield rescue.Wan Fuen's superb medical skills,noble medical ethics and strong patriotic spirit will always inspire the medical workers who come after him to keep moving forward.

Abstract:Unlike modern medicine's scientific narrative of human life,classical Chinese medicine adopts a cultural narrative of human life.As a classical narrative of life,traditional Chinese medicine culture is a"local knowledge"that holds a narrative attitude of"great life"towards all things in the universe,and adopts a narrative strategy of"temporal rhythm"towards human life.The life narrative of traditional Chinese medicine has a humanistic therapeutic function,and therefore intersects with"narrative medicine".The life narrative of traditional Chinese medicine is the result of the integration and interaction between ancient medicine and philosophical culture,and therefore also has rich connotations of"medical narrative".Understanding traditional Chinese medicine culture from the perspective of life narrative is of great significance for carrying out humanistic education and comparative medicine education in traditional Chinese medicine,promoting the localization of narrative medicine,and remedying the alienation trend of traditional Chinese medicine education in the era of technology.
