Abstract：The Red Medical Spirit is a precious spiritual treasure formed by the Communist Party of China in the great practice of leading the development of medical and health undertakings,boasting profound medical humanistic connotations and ideological and political education value.From the perspective of medical humanism,this paper systematically expounds the core connotations of the Red Medical Spirit,namely"firm political stance,excellent professional skills,saving lives and healing the wounded,and hard work",as well as its contemporary significance in cultivating medical students' professional beliefs,ethical awareness and humanistic care capabilities.The paper deeply analyzes the internal mechanism of medical students' formation of universal recognition of the Red Medical Spirit from three stages:cognition,approval and identification.Furthermore,it puts forward multi-dimensional approaches,such as integrating the spirit into professional courses,constructing practical systems and strengthening ideological and political education,to realize the in-depth integration of the Red Medical Spirit and medical humanistic education.This study provides theoretical reference and practical guidance for fostering virtue through education in medical education and the inheritance of the Red Medical Spirit in the new era.
