Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture and Education:Philosophical Reflections from the Perspective of Life Narrative
Wei Meng-fei
Abstract:Unlike modern medicine's scientific narrative of human life, classical Chinese medicine adopts a cultural narrative of human life.As a classical narrative of life, traditional Chinese medicine culture is a"local knowledge"that holds a narrative attitude of"great life"towards all things in the universe, and adopts a narrative strategy of"temporal rhythm"towards human life. The life narrative of traditional Chinese medicine has a humanistic therapeutic function, and therefore intersects with"narrative medicine".The life narrative of traditional Chinese medicine is the result of the integration and interaction between ancient medicine and philosophical culture, and therefore also has rich connotations of"medical narrative".Understanding traditional Chinese medicine culture from the perspective of life narrative is of great significance for carrying out humanistic education and comparative medicine education in traditional Chinese medicine, promoting the localization of narrative medicine, and remedying the alienation trend of traditional Chinese medicine education in the era of technology.
