Research on the Paths for Realizing Ecological Product Value based on the"Two Mountains"TheoryAbstract:To follow the concept of"Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets",to promote the con-struction of Xizang as the ecological security barrier and the"integration of green development and prosperity",this paper takes the large-scale planting of Armeniaca sibirica forests in the Lhasa North-South Mountain Greening Proj-ect as the research subject to expore the paths for realizing ecological product value. It is found that the project has succesfully achived large-scale planting of Armeniaca sibirica and yieled siginificant ecological benefits. However, the exploration of economic value still remains in infancy, and their ecological advantages have not yet been fully transformed into livlihood benefits.Based on the theory of ecological resource capitalization,a diversified and inte-grated value realization path system of"planting-processing-marketing-tourism-carbon"has been constructed,spe-cifically including:consolidating the foundation of standardized planting;extending the deep processing industry chain for high-value-added products;promoting the deep integration of"Armeniaca sibirica plus"with cultural tour-ism;developing new rights and benefits of forestry carbon sinks and ecological compensation;strengthening the col-laborative support of policies, finance and taxation, which aims to achieve the transformation of Armeniaca sibirica forests from single ecological function to a multiple value system of"ecological improvement, economic efficiency and livelihood enhancement",providing theoretical basis and practical reference for the ecological protection and green prosperity on the Tibetan Plateau.
Variation Characteristics of Heat Resources During the Growth Season of Spring Wheat in Shigatse and Their Agricultural SignificanceAbstract:Based on the meteorological data from Shigatse Meteorological Service from 1990 to 2024,along with crop growth period observation data from the provincial agricultural-meteorological observatory in Shigatse during the same period, this study takes spring wheat in Shigatse from 1990 to 2024 as the research object to clarify the re-sponse patterns of spring wheat during the growth season to heat changes in alpine regions, which has also analyzed its growth season characteristics, heat resource dynamics and their correlation,as well as the abrupt variation charac-teristics of accumulated temperature. The results show that:1)Referring to growth season characteristics of spring wheat, the full growth period was mainly concentrated from April to September(averaging 142 d),showing a signifi-cant shortening trend from 1990 to 2024(decreasing by 0.75 d/a,P<0.01),dropping from nearly 170 d in 1992 to ap-proximately 130 d in 2024.The sowing-jointing(0.39 d/a)stage was significantly shortened. The heading-maturity(0.33 d/a)stage also exhibited a shortening trend, though it failed to pass the significance test, indicating a relatively weaker effect. The milk ripening/maturity stage was the most temporally concentrated(δ=3.7/3.6),and the tillering stage showed the largest dispersion(δ=11.1).Referring to heat dynamics, the average temperature during the growth season increased significantly(0.43℃/10a,P<0.001),with an increase of 1.38℃over 32 years. The four types of ac-cumulated temperature all showed stepwise increase, with an increase from 372.5℃(≥0℃)to 816.9℃(≥15℃)from 2020 to 2024 compared with 1990 to 1999.Referring to heat impact, the heat indicators and growth period days showed a correlation pattern of"negative-positive-positive-strong negative-neutral-negative-negative-strong negative".The accumulated temperature exceeding 10℃dominated the jointing/heading stage(r=-0.542/-0.497),while the average temperature and accumulated temperature exceeding 0℃/5℃dominated the maturity stage(r=-0.687).The accumulated temperature distribution adapted to physiological needs, and there was a reverse rela-tionship that"period shortens as temperature increases"between the heat and growth stages.Referring to abrupt vari-ation of accumulated temperature,it showed that the accumulated temperature exceeding 0℃,5℃,10℃and 15℃experienced increase and abrupt variation around 2000,2005,2010,and 2010 respectively.
Strategies for Grazing Exclusion Management Optimization on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau Based on the Temporal Effect of Ecological Engineering Carbon SinkAbstract:Alpine grasslands on the Tibetan Plateau serve as a critical carrier for the establishment of regional eco-logical security barriers and national ecological civilization hubs, and play a vital role in the global carbon cycle.Over the past two decades, ecological restoration initiatives involving large-scale fencing and grazing exclusion have been implemented across the region to mitigate grassland degradation. However, the spatiotemporal variation patterns and optimization pathways of carbon sink effect resulting from long-term grazing exclusion remain unclear. This study has systematically integrated and analyzed 246 paired cases of grazing exclusion and grazing restoration on the Tibetan Plateau, using multi-scale methods such as field plot observation to elucidate the temporal characteris-tics and regulatory mechanisms of the carbon sink capacity under fencing and grazing exclusion. The results demon-strate that fencing and grazing exclusion have substantially enhanced the carbon sink capacity of alpine grasslands, yielding an average increase of 49%.However,the carbon sink effect exhibits marked non-linear characteristics, peaking approximately five years after implementation of the ecological projects, after which the carbon sink rate gain declines, suggesting the existence of an"optimal carbon sink window".Long-term grazing exclusion results in the excessive accumulation of plant litter, which leads to shading effect and nutrient cycling imbalance, constituting the primary factors behind the decline in carbon sink gain. This finding challenges the traditional notion that"longer duration of ecological restoration projects yields better results"and proposes the existence of a"carbon sink inhibi-tion threshold".Specifically, when litter layer thickness or shading intensity exceeds the ecological carrying capaci-ty,the carbon sink transits from an"incremental"to a"stock"model. The existing ecological project management paradigm urgently requires a shift from a static"long-term grazing exclusion"model to a dynamic and adaptive"pe-riodic rotational grazing"strategy to ensure targeted implementation of ecological projects and sustained enhance-ment of carbon sink capacity on the Tibetan Plateau.

Study on the Effect of Yak Dung Biochar in Alleviating Soil Aluminum Toxicity and Improving Trifolium Repens GrowthAbstract:Soil acidification in China has become increasingly severe, with aluminum toxicity emerging as a prima-ry factor limiting crop growth.Addressing the limitations of traditional soil amendment, which are costly and prone to compaction, this study explored the ameliorative effect of plateau yak dung biochar on aluminum-stressed soil.A pot experiment was conducted under interactive treatment of different biochar application rate(0%,3%and 5%)and aluminum stress(4 mmol·L-¹).The results indicated that aluminum stress(Al)significantly inhibited the growth of Trifolium repens and reduced its biomass(P<0.05).Biochar application, particularly at 5%rate(5%BC+Al),effec-tively increased soil pH and improved soil structure, thereby significantly alleviating aluminum toxicity and promot-ing the recovery of Trifolium repens growth.Correlation analysis revealed that exchangeable aluminum was signifi-cantly negatively correlated with soil pH,root length and plant height(P<0.05),while root length and plant height exhibited a highly significant positive correlation(P<0.001).This study confirmed that the high-value utilization of yak dung from the Tibetan Plateau to produce biochar could mitigate aluminum toxicity by increasing soil pH and reducing exchangeable aluminum, offering an economically effective technical approach and theoretical basis for the remediation of acidic and aluminum-contaminated soil.

Morphological Response of Laudakia Wui to Different Altitudinal GradientAbstract:Morphological changes in animals are closely related to their adaptation to ecological environment, which may vary depending on morphilogical functions.Bergmann's rule and Allen's rule are two classic theories that explain the interrelationship between functional morphological traits and ecological environment factors. The former posits that animals exhibit larger body size in colder environment, while the latter suggests that animals de-velop shorter tails and limbs in colder environment. To investigate the universality of these rules for ectotherms, this study took Laudakia wui distributed in the Yarlung Zangbo River basin of Xizang as the model.By assessing chang-es in the three functional morphological categories—body size, locomotion and sensory traits along altitudinal gradi-ent,Bergmann's and Allen's rules were tested, and correlations between morphological changes and climatic fac-tors were explored. Results indicated that the body size of Laudakia wui significantly decreased with increasing alti-tude,contradicting Bergmann's rule;while forelimb traits enhanced, and tail length and eye diameter decreased with increasing altitude, partially supporting Allen's rule.Furthermore, net primary productivity was significantly positively correlated with snout-vent length, head characteristics and tail length. This study has revealed the strate-gies employed by Laudakia wui to adapt to environmental pressure through morphological changes, which offers critical insight into its potential response to climate change and holds scientific importance for biodiversity conserva-tion on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau.
