Abstract:With the rapid growth in global energy consumption, the interplay among nations in reducing green-house gas emission is becoming increasingly intense. As a significant source of clean energy,photovoltaic(PV)pow-er generation play an important role in promoting regional economic development, advancing global energy transi-tion,and achieving the global goal of"carbon neutrality".The Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, characterized by fragile eco-systems and abundant solar resources, has experienced rapid development of PV power industry. These PV power plants have exerted significant impact in near-surface energy balance and microclimate, thereby altering soil nutrient cycles,as well as fauna and flora, ultimately leading to notable ecological effect.Consequently, the sustainable de-velopment of PV power plants is crucial for the rational utilization of solar and grassland resources, balancing PV in-dustry growth with ecological environment, and enhancing regional socio-economic conditions across the region.Hence, this paper has reviewed the impact and underlying mechanisms of PV power plants on ecosystem structure and functions in the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, including local surface microclimate, soil nutrients,as well as fauna and flora traits.By comprehensively considering the ecological effect of PV power plants,an evaluation system for PV plant construction suitability is built to support regional sustainable development.
