Theoretical Significance and Practical Path of Ideological and Political Education for Clinical Medical Graduate Students with Both Moral Integrity and Professional Competence
[Journal Article]Wang Meng, Yang Min-Chinese Medical Humanities2025, No.01

Abstract:Clinical medical graduate students are a key force in promoting the development of the healthcare services. It is crucial to carry out ideological and political education for them, and we must pay attention to both moral integrity and professional competence, fostering their comprehensive development. The theoretical implications of ideological and political education for clinical medical graduate students with both moral integrity and professional competence are reflected in three aspects:moral education is the fundamental guidance, talent cultivation is an important responsibility, and the ultimate goal is to have both moral integrity and professional competence. The ideological and political education of clinical medical graduate students has such problems as insufficient attention, inadequate institutional mechanisms, and incomplete ideological and political teams.Higher medical colleges should adhere to the core of moral education, promote the integration of"Party building+ideological and political education"and"mentor+ideological and political team",and guard the three major positions of"school, hospital and society".Based on the four stages of enrollment education,pre-employment training,mid-term assessment and graduation education, the education should grasp the five dimensions of ideological guidance, innovation guidance, psychological counseling, reward and assistance for education, and employment services, fully exerting the function of ideological and political education, and cultivating high-level medical talents with both morality and ability.

Tracing the Narrative Medicine Thought of Traditional Chinese Medicine Etiology:Exploration of the Three Causes Theory of the Yongjia Medical School
[Journal Article]Wang Jia-wei, Lan Qing, Li Ying-ying-Chinese Medical Humanities2025, No.05

Abstract:Relationality, empathy and negative emotions are the three fucuses in narrative medicine. The Yongjia Medical School proposes that the causes of diseases can be categorized into three types, namely"internal causes","external causes",and"causes neither internal nor external".A comparative study revealed that the etiological concept of the"Three Causes Theory"proposed by the Yongjia Medical School demonstrates a bottom-up logical resonance with the Triple Focuses Theory in narrative medicine. The ideas of"internal causes","external causes,"and"causes neither internal nor external"in the"Three Causes Theory"correspond to the emphasis on relationality, empathy, and negative emotions in narrative medicine, respectively. It is evident that as early as in the Southern Song Dynasty, medical practitioners of the Yongjia Medical School had already begun the practice of narrative medicine.Through the practice of tracing the origins of the"Three Causes",an implicit community in narrative sense has been constructed between doctors and patients, thus achieving harmony in the doctor-patient relationship of traditional Chinese medicine. This discovery provides a new perspective for the interpretation of narrative medicine in China and the integration of medical humanistic thoughts between China and the West.

Narrative Adjustment in Narrative Medicine and the Conception of Shanggong Shoushen(Excellent Doctors Healing Holistic Person)in Traditional Chinese Medicine
[Journal Article]Jiang Jia-cheng, Liu Zhi-ting, Ren Jing-Chinese Medical Humanities2025, No.02

Abstract:Chinese narrative medicine is a new model of medical education and clinical practice built on the basis of absorbing the essence of Chinese traditional medicine culture and integrating the concepts of Western narrative medicine.Traditional Chinese medicine advocates that inner diseases should be treated with inner medicine, which is to"keep the right mind".Narrative medicine actively prevents diseases and improves chronic diseases by improving the subject's bio-health narrative awareness and through self-narrative adjustment or physicians'narrative intervention. On the basis of elaborating the concept of narrative adjustment in narrative medicine, this article compares it with the concepts of"mind-protecting medicine"and"cultivating both body and mind"in traditional Chinese medicine, discusses their similar philosophical foundations and ethical principles. It advocates the common characteristics and healing value of practitioners in practice, and advocates that contemporary doctors be good at using mind-protecting medicine, mobilizing patients'inner resources, and developing narrative adjustment practices that are beneficial to the health of the whole person.

The"Shenzhen Bao'an Model"of Traditional Chinese Medicine Cultural Communication Led by Party Construction:Mechanism,Pathway, and Implications
[Journal Article]Zhou Gui-yang, Wu Li-sha, Wang Pei-xuan et al.-Chinese Medical Humanities2025, No.05

Abstract:As a treasure of the Chinese nation, the inheritance and innovation of Chinese medicine is of great significance to the promotion of the Healthy China Strategy and the enhancement of cultural self-confidence.However,the current dissemination of TCM culture faces challenges such as fragmentation of resources, insufficient grassroots penetration, and public cognitive disconnection.Taking Bao'an District of Shenzhen as an example, based on the theory of collaborative governance,we systematically analyze the"four-dimensional mechanism"of TCM culture dissemination under the leadership of Party construction, namely, goal unification, policy driving, resource aggregation and trust construction, and reveal how grass-roots Party organizations can solve the governance problems through institutional empowerment and relational cultivation to promote TCM culture from"policy advocacy"to"social action",which is important for promoting TCM culture. The study found that the Party construction led the construction of a three-level linkage path of"school-corporation-community"through the integration of multi-departmental resources such as hygiene, education, and subdistrict:at the school level, through the curriculum system, practice bases and teacher training,to strengthen the health literacy of young people and their cultural identity;at the corporation level,to integrate workplace health management with corporate culture,to optimize employee well-being;at the community level, the model of"free clinic+popularization of science+interaction"is adopted to enhance residents'self-health management ability.Practice has shown that the model has effectively solved the problems of resource fragmentation, insufficient grassroots penetration and public awareness disconnection, covering more than 11,500 people, significantly improving residents'health literacy and social acceptance, and forming a replicable paradigm of"Party construction+health".However, the model still faces problems such as insufficient geographical adaptability, lack of long-term effect tracking and digital communication bottlenecks in the process of promotion. In this regard, the following practical suggestions are made:to improve the institutional design, implement differentiated paths, and strengthen digital synergy. The Shenzhen Bao'an model provides a replicable model for the transformation of TCM culture from"policy text"to"social action",and provides theoretical and practical support for the modernization of public health governance.
