Abstract:Chinese narrative medicine is a new model of medical education and clinical practice built on the basis of absorbing the essence of Chinese traditional medicine culture and integrating the concepts of Western narrative medicine.Traditional Chinese medicine advocates that inner diseases should be treated with inner medicine, which is to"keep the right mind".Narrative medicine actively prevents diseases and improves chronic diseases by improving the subject's bio-health narrative awareness and through self-narrative adjustment or physicians'narrative intervention. On the basis of elaborating the concept of narrative adjustment in narrative medicine, this article compares it with the concepts of"mind-protecting medicine"and"cultivating both body and mind"in traditional Chinese medicine, discusses their similar philosophical foundations and ethical principles. It advocates the common characteristics and healing value of practitioners in practice, and advocates that contemporary doctors be good at using mind-protecting medicine, mobilizing patients'inner resources, and developing narrative adjustment practices that are beneficial to the health of the whole person.
