Effect of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy on Serum Uric Acid and Oxidative Stress in Hyperuricemia Mice

Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy(HBOT)on serum uric acid and oxi-dative stress levels in mice with hyperuricemia(HUA).Methods A total of 21 specific pathogen free(SPF)male Kun-ming mice were randomly divided into control group,HUA group and HUA+HBOT group,with 7 mice in each.Except for the control group,the other two groups of mice were given a mixture of adenine and ethambutol by gavage for 4 weeks to establish a HUA mouse model;the HUA+HBOT group was given HBOT for 7 consecutive days.Serum uric acid,xanthine oxidase(XO)activity,reactive oxygen species(ROS)content in ankle joint and kidney tissues and the expres-sion of uncoupling proteins-2(UCP2)in heart and kidney were compared among groups.Results The levels of serum uric acid,XO activity,ROS content in ankle joint,ROS content in kidney and UCP2 expression in heart in HUA group were significantly higher than those in control group(all P<0.05);serum uric acid,XO activity,ROS content in ankle joint,kidney ROS content and heart UCP2 expression in HUA+HBOT group were significantly lower than those in HUA group(all P<0.05),while there was no significant difference in kidney UCP2 expression(P>0.05).Conclusion HBOT can reduce serum uric acid level and ROS content in tissues,thereby alleviating oxidative stress injury in HUA mice.

Characterization of Serum Inflammatory Cytokines in Depressed Patients with and without Cognitive Impairment

Abstract:Objective To investigate the characteristics and clinical significance of serum inflammatory cytokine lev-els in depressed patients with cognitive impairment.Methods Clinical data of 62 patients with depression in the psychiat-ric outpatient or inpatient department of author's hospital from July 2023 to June 2024 were collected,including 32 pa-tients with cognitive dysfunction(study group)and 30 patients without cognitive dysfunction(control group);Hamilton depression scale 17(HAMD-17)and Montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA)were applied for assessment;serum inter-leukin 1(IL-1),IL-6,tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α)and interferon gamma(IFN-γ)levels of subjects were meas-ured between two groups.Results ① There was no significant difference of HAMD-17 scores between two groups,and the MoCA score of the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.01).② Serum levels of inflammatory cytokines IL-1,IL-6 and TNF-α were significantly higher in the study group than those in the control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01),whereas there was no significant difference in IFN-γ levels between the two groups(P>0.05).③ Correlation analysis showed that HAMD-17 score was significantly positively correlated with the levels of IL-1,IL-6,TNF-α and IFN-γ,and MoCA score was significantly negatively correlated with each factor(P<0.05).Conclusion There was upregulation of serum inflammatory cytokine expression in depressed patients,and the elevated levels were more significant in depressed patients with cognitive impairment;serum inflammatory cytokine concentration may be a status indicator reflecting the presence of cognitive impairment in depression.

Design and Application of a Field-portable Integrated Device for Preprocessing,Cleaning,Disinfection and Transportation of Reusable Surgical Instruments

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the application effect of a field-portable integrated device for preprocessing,cleaning,disinfection and transportation of reusable surgical instrument.Methods A reusable surgical instrument disin-fection device with preprocessing,cleaning and disinfection functions was designed,50 postoperative instrument packs from a hospital from January to May 2024 were randomly selected,with a total of 4 491 instruments,the instruments were divided into the control group(n=2 156)and the experimental group(n=2 335)according to the random number table method.The control group used traditional processes to handle surgical instruments,while the experimental group uesd the portable integrated device to reprocess surgical instruments.The collection and preprocessing time,cleaning pass rate and rust rate of instruments between the two groups were compared.Results The collection and preprocessing time of instrument recycling in the experimental group was(41.88±1.20)min,which was significantly lower than(47.12±1.72)min in the control group(P<0.001);there was no statistically significant difference in the cleaning pass rate of de-vices between the two groups(P=0.945);while the instrument rusting rate in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group(3.21%vs.4.45%)(P<0.05).Conclusion This portable integrated device can be used to collection,cleaning and disinfection of surgical instruments in both field and hospital settings,which can improve the collection efficiency,reduce the workload of the recovery personnel,and has strong practicality and applicability,making it worthy of promotion.

Study on Changes in Serum sCD40L and sCD163 Levels and Their Relationship with Coronary Artery Lesions in Children with Kawasaki Disease Combined with Mycoplasma Pneumoniae Infection

Abstract:Objective To analyze the changes in serum soluble cluster of differentiation 40 ligand(sCD40L)and soluble cluster of differentiation 163(sCD163)levels and their relationship with the development of coronary artery injury(CAI)in children with Kawasaki disease(KD)combined with mycoplasma pneumoniae(MP)infection.Methods A to-tal of 114 children diagnosed with KD complicated with MP infection(KD complicated with MP group)and 114 children with MP infection alone(control group)between January 2020 to December 2024 were enrolled;based on the presence or absence of CAI,the pediatric patients with KD complicated with MP infection were further divided into CAI group(n=34)and non-CAI group(n=80).Multivariate unconditional Logistic regression was used to analyze the association between serum sCD40L and sCD163 levels and CAI in KD children complicated with MP infection;receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis was performed to assess the predictive value of serum sCD40L and sCD163 levels for CAI in pediatric patients with KD complicated with MP infection.Results Compared with the control group,pediatric patients in KD complicated with MP group had significantly higher levels of serum sCD40L and sCD163(P<0.05),the incidence of CAI in pediatric patients with KD complicated with MP infection was 29.82%(34/1 14),compared with non-CAI group,serum sCD40L and sCD163 levels of pediatric patients were significantly higher in the CAI group(P<0.05).Intravenous immunoglobulin(IVIG)non-respon-siveness,elevated creatine kinase isoenzyme MB(CK-MB),increased N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP),elevated sCD40L and elevated sCD163 were identified as independent risk factors for CAI in pediatric pa-tients with KD complicated with MP infection(P<0.05).The area under the curve(AUC)of serum sCD40L and sCD163 combined in predicting CAI in pediatric patients with KD and MP infection was 0.882,which was significantly larger than that of serum sCD40L and sCD163 alone(P<0.05).Conclusion The levels of serum sCD40L and sCD163 increased in pediatric patients with KD complicated with MP infection,sCD40L and sCD163 were independent risk factors for CAI,the combination of serum sCD40L and sCD163 has a high value in predicting CAI in pediatric patients with KD complicated with MP infection.

Design of Self-checking Nuclear Decontamination Waste Liquid Collection Device Based on Real-time Radiation Monitoring

Abstract:Objective To design a self-checking nuclear decontamination waste liquid collection device that enables real-time assessment of decontamination effectiveness,enhancing the rescue capability of military nuclear rescue teams.Methods The device consisted of an upper decontamination system and a lower waste monitoring system.The upper lay-er included a decontamination bed with movable barriers and drainage channels forming a semi-enclosed area;the lower layer integrated waste collection,radiation detection and processing systems,with a funnel-shaped pipeline equipped with radiation detection technology to monitor real-time changes in radiation intensity,indirectly evaluating decontamination ef-fectiveness.Results The new system enabled immediate,dynamic assessment during decontamination,eliminating the traditional 10 min inspection process and avoiding repeated decontamination,which significantly improved the decontami-nation efficiency.Conclusion This self-checking nuclear decontamination system innovatively addresses key challenges in traditional decontamination,with important implications for enhancing nuclear emergency response efficiency,reducing environmental contamination,and ensuring rescuer safety.

Mechanism of Resina Draconis and Indigo Naturalis Compatibility in the Treatment of Diabetic Skin Wound Healing Based on Network Pharmacology

Abstract:Objective To investigate the pharmacological basis and mechanism of Resina Draconis and Indigo natu-ralis compatibility in the treatment of diabetic skin wounds based on network pharmacology.Methods The active ingredi-ents and targets of Resina Draconis and Indigo naturalis were screened by searching the traditional Chinese medicine sys-tematic pharmacology platform(TCMSP)and PubChem.The disease gene database was used to obtain targets related to diabetic skin wounds,the intersection of the active ingredient targets of Resina Draconis and Indigo naturalis with the dis-ease targets of diabetic skin wounds was analyzed as potential targets,and a network of"Resina Draconis and Indigo natu-ralis-active ingredient-potential targets"was constructed.A protein-protein interaction(PPI)network was constructed between the targets,and gene ontology(GO)enrichment analysis and Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes(KEGG)pathway enrichment analysis were performed on the genes of the potential targets.Results Fifteen active ingredients of the Resina Draconis and Indigo naturalis were collected,including diindigodin and indican,and 139 intersection targets were found between Resina Draconis and Indigo naturalis and diabetic skin wounds.Cytoscape network analysis found 10 core targets such as the RAC-alpha serine/threonine-protein kinase(AKT1)and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)in promo-ting diabetic skin wound healing,the targets were mainly enriched in the atherosclerosis signaling pathway,advanced gly-cation end products-receptor for advanced glycation end products(AGE-RAGE)signaling pathway and other related path-ways.Conclusion The Resina Draconis and Indigo naturalis may regulate the healing process of diabetic skin wounds through vascular regeneration,redox,inflammatory response,lipid and atherosclerosis signaling pathways,AGE-RAGE signaling pathway and chemoattractant receptor activation pathways.

Evaluation of Coagulation Function in Patients with Intracranial Aneurysms and Its Predictive Value for Clinical Outcome

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the coagulation function of patients with intracranial aneurysm by varieties of de-tection methods,analyze whether the change of coagulation function was associated with the rupture of intracranial aneu-rysm and its clinical predictive value.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 217 patients with intracranial aneurysms who were first diagnosed in the author's hospital from January 2014 to December 2023,the patients were divided into unruptured group(n=64)and ruptured group(n=153)according to the presence or absence of intracranial aneurysm rupture.The coagulation function of patients with intracranial aneurysms was analyzed through traditional coagulation function tests,throm-boelastography(TEG)monitoring and assessment of platelet activation degree,Logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors for intracranial aneurysm rupture,the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to analyze the diagnostic value of coagulation function indica-tors for intracranial aneurysm rupture,Spearman correlation analysis was adopted to explore the correlation between tra-ditional coagulation function test indicators and TEG parameters.Results The coagulation function of patients in the two groups were within the normal range.The prothrombin time(PT)and fibrinogen(FIB)in the rupture group were signifi-cantly higher than those in the unrupture group(P<0.05),while the activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT)and coagulation reaction time(R value)were significantly lower than those in the unrupture group(P<0.05);the platelet activation degrees of patients in the two groups were within the normal range.The positive rate of platelet activator com-bined-1(PAC-1)activated by adenosine diphosphate(ADP)in rupture group was significantly lower than that in unrup-ture group(P<0.05);Logistic regression analysis showed that history of hypertension,PT and APTT were independent influencing factors for rupture in patients with intracranial aneurysms(P<0.05).The results of ROC curve analysis showed that the areas under the curve for the diagnosis of rupture in patients with intracranial aneurysms by PT,APTT and their combined detection were 0.681,0.813 and 0.857,respectively.Correlation analysis showed that the R value was positively correlated with APTT(r=0.292,P<0.001);FIB was negatively correlated with the coagulation forma-tion time(K value)(r=-0.313,P<0.001),positively correlated with the coagulation angle(Angle value)(r=0.324,P<0.001)and positively correlated with the maximum amplitude(MA)of thrombus(r=0.413,P<0.001);platelet count(PLT)was negatively correlated with K value(r=-0.377,P<0.001),positively correlated with Angle value(r=0.340,P<0.001),and positively correlated with MA value(r=0.450,P<0.001).Conclusion The traditional co-agulation function test combined with thromboelastography is helpful to evaluate the coagulation function of patients with intracranial aneurysm more comprehensively,and some indicators of the traditional coagulation function test have good di-agnostic value for the diagnosis of intracranial aneurysm rupture.

Effect of Perceived Social Support on Post-traumatic Growth and the Chain Mediating Effect of Attention to Positive Informa-tion and Psychological Resilience in Plateau Officers and Soldiers

Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship between perceived social support(PSS)and post-traumatic growth(PTG)among plateau military personnel,and to examine the serial mediating roles of attention to positive infor-mation(API)and psychological resilience.Methods A cross-sectional design was used,1 922 male plateau military per-sonnel were assessed using the perceived social support scale(PSSS),the connor-davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC),the attention to positive information scale(APIS)and the posttraumatic growth inventory(PTGI).Firstly,Pearson cor-relation and multiple linear regression were used to analyze the association and predictive effect of variables,and then Bootstrap method was used to test the chain mediation effect to verify the hypothesized path.Results PSSS,APIS and CD-RISC were all significantly and positively correlated with PTGI(r=0.489,0.600,0.627,all P<0.01).Regres-sion analysis revealed that PSSS,APIS and CD-RISC were significant positive predictors of PTGI(β=0.171,0.253,0.360,all P<0.001).Mediation analysis indicated that PSS influenced PTG through three pathways:the mediating effect of API alone accounted for 35.54%,the mediating effect of psychological resilience alone accounted for 14.73%,and the serial mediating effect of API-psycho-logical resilience accounted for 13.67%(the total indirect effect was 64.46%).Conclusion PSS primarily pro-motes PTG among plateau military personnel through the serial mediating effects of API and psychological resili-ence.It is suggested to improve the API and psychological resilience levels of officers and soldiers at different levels to enhance PTG and promote mental health.

Establishment of Optimization and Quality Control Method of Matrix Prescription for"Qiangjin Zhuanggu Zhufeng"Gel Pat-ches

Abstract:Objective To optimize the matrix prescription of"Qiangjin Zhuanggu Zhufeng"Gel Patches,establish the quality control method for the formula.Methods The dosage of glycerol,sodium polyacrylate NP700,tartaric acid and aluminum glycinate were used as influencing factors,and the comprehensive sensory score,initial adhesion force and holding adhesion force scores were measured,and the comprehensive score was calculated as the evaluation index,the Box-Behnken response surface method was used to optimize the matrix prescription of the Gel Patches.Results Optimal matrix prescription of"Qiangjin Zhuanggu Zhufeng"Gel Patches was 17.30 g of glycerol,2.50 g of sodium polyacrylate NP700,0.10 g of aluminum glycinate and 0.10 g of tartaric acid,the comprehensive score was 88.49 calculated by initial adhesion force,holding adhesion force and comprehensive sensory score.Conclusion After optimization,the resulting"QiangjinZhuanggu Zhufeng"Gel Patches has a uniformappearance and good performance,which meets the quality re-quirements of gel plasters.

Analysis of Pelvic Floor Structure Changes in Patients with Stress Urinary Incontinence After Vaginal Delivery Based on MRI Features

Abstract:Objective To explore the changes of pelvic floor structure in patients with stress urinary incontinence(SUI)after vaginal delivery through magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).Methods A total of 90 primiparas who gave birth through vagina in author's hospital were selected as the research objects from July 2022 to July 2023,and they were divided into SUI group(n=47)and non-SUI group(n=43)according to whether there was SUI after 6 weeks of delivery.All subjects underwent pelvic dynamic and static MRI examination,univariate analysis was used to examine the differences in general data,morphological and functional indicators of the levator ani and sphincter of urethra between the two groups,multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of SUI after vaginal deliv-ery,receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were plotted to evaluate the predictive efficacy of these influencing factors,and a nomogram was used to construct the predictive model.Results Compared with the non-SUI group,the SUI group had larger levator ani hiatus area(LHA),shorter uterine cervixto pubic coccyx line(U-PCL)and bladder neck to pubic coccyx line(B-PCL),longer bladder neck descent(BND),larger retro vesicourethral angle(RVA)and anterior angle of the urethra(AUA),higher propor-tion of bladder funnels and shorter static and dynamic functional urethral length(FUL),all these differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that dynamic FUL(OR=0.697,P=0.001),dynamic RVA(OR=0.962,P=0.026)and bladder funnel(OR=9.585,P=0.003)were independent influencing factors for SUI after vaginal delivery.Results of the ROC curve indicated that the area under the curve(AUC)of the combined prediction of SUI after vaginal delivery by dynamic FUL,RVA and bladder funnel was 0.883[95%confidence interval(CI):0.798-0.941];the C-in-dex of the prediction model constructed based on dynamic FUL+bladder funnel+dynamic RVA for predicting SUI af-ter vaginal delivery was 0.883(95%CI:0.798-0.941).Conclusion The presence of bladder funnel,shortened FUL and increased RVA are influencing factors for early SUI after vaginal delivery,the combination of these three factors has good predictive efficacy for early SUI after vaginal delivery and can be used to predict the occurrence of early SUI after va-ginal delivery.

Clinical Efficacy of Elastic Stable Intramedullary Nailing for Radial Neck Fractures in Pediatric Patients

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of closed reduction internal fixation with elastic stable intramedullary nailing(ESIN)for radial neck fractures in pediatric patients.Methods From June 2019 to June 2024,21 pediatric patients of O'Brien type Ⅱ-Ⅲ radial neck fractures were treated with ESIN closed reduction,wound healing and postoperative complications were followed up and observed.Twelve months after surgery,the quality of re-duction was evaluated by Métaizeau criteria,and the elbow function of children was evaluated by Mayo elbow function score.Results A total of 21 pediatric patients successfully completed surgery,follow-up time 12-24(16.50±3.00)months,all fractures achieved functional reduction,no deep infection.Métaizeau elbow score:19 cases were excellent(90.48%),2 cases were good(9.52%).Mayo elbow function score:20 cases were excellent(95.24%),1 cases were good(4.76%).Conclusion ESIN technology can achieve minimally invasive stable fixation for pediatric radial neck frac-tures,especially suitable for O'Brien type Ⅱ-Ⅲ fractures,it has high anatomical reduction rate,excellent functional re-covery and low complication risk,making it a safe and effective treatment choice.

Impact of Work Stress on Sleep Quality in Tunnel Operation Soldiers:the Chain Mediating Effect of Psychological Resilience and Accumulative Fatigue

Abstract:Objective To investigate the impact of work stress on the quality of sleep of tunnel operation soldier and verify the mediating role of psychological resilience and accumulative fatigue.Methods Through cluster sampling survey of the military personnel engaged in tunnel operations,the work stress scale(WSS),Connor-Davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC),Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)and self-diagnosis questionnaire of fatigue accumulation among workers were used to investigate.Results The incidence rate of sleep disorders among 296 military personnel engaged in tunnel operations was 57.43%;work stress was significantly positively correlated with the total score of sleep quality and accumulative fatigue(r=0.310,0.231,P<0.01),and significantly negatively correlated with psychological resilience(r=-0.286,P<0.01);psychological resilience was significantly negatively correlated with the total score of sleep quality and accumulative fatigue(r=-0.448,-0.369,P<0.01),and accumulative fatigue was significantly positively correlated with the total score of sleep quality(r=0.484,P<0.01);psychological resilience and accumulative fatigue played a partial mediating role(β=0.080,0.048,P<0.01)and a chain mediating role(β=0.033,P<0.01)between the work stress and sleep quality of military personnel engaged in tunnel operations.Conclusion Military personnel en-gaged in tunnel operations have a relatively high incidence of sleep disorders,work pressure can directly affect the sleep quality of military personnel engaged in tunnel operations,and can also affect sleep quality through the mediating effect of psychological resilience and accumulative fatigue,as well as the chain mediating effect of these two variables.

Application Effects of Compound Alcohol Hand Sanitizer,Povidone-iodine Cotton Pads and Normal Saline Under Field Battle

Abstract:Objective To compare the intervention effects of compound alcohol hand sanitizer,normal saline and 0.5%povidone-iodine cotton pads with once and twice disinfection under field conditions,so as to provide a basis for se-lecting efficient and convenient disinfection methods in field settings.Methods In the simulated field battle from Decem-ber 2023 to January 2024,655 volunteers were divided into compound alcohol hand sanitizer group,povidone-iodine cotton pads group Ⅰ,povidone-iodine cotton pads group Ⅱ and normal saline group according to different treatment methods by convenience sampling method.Bacterial colony were sampled before and after hand disinfection among the 4 groups,the number of bacterial colonies was observed after 24 h of blood agar culture,and the qualified rate of disinfection among each group was calculated to evaluate the disinfection effect.Results After disinfection,there was a statistically signifi-cant difference in the number of colonies among the 4 groups(H=10.080,P=0.018),and the number of colonies in povidone-iodine cotton pads group Ⅰ,povidone-iodine cotton pads group Ⅱ and normal saline group was higher than that in compound alcohol hand sanitizer group(all P<0.05).Compared with those before disinfection,the number of colo-nies in compound alcohol hand sanitizer group,povidone-iodine cotton pads group Ⅰ,povidone-iodine cotton pads groupⅡ and normal saline group decreased significantly(all P<0.05).After disinfection,there was statistically significant difference in the qualified rate of hand disinfection among the 4 groups(x2=9.019,P=0.029),and the qualified rate of disinfection in povidone-iodine cotton pads group Ⅱ was higher than those in compound alcohol hand sanitizer group and normal saline group(all P<0.05).Compared with those before disinfection,the qualified rates of disin-fection in all 4 groups significantly increased after disin-fection(all P<0.05).Conclusion All 4 disinfection methods are effective in field battle,each with applicable scenarios.Twice disinfection with povidone-iodine cotton pads is suitable for rear rescue with sufficient supplies,compound alcohol hand sanitizer is suitable for rapid disinfection at the front line,normal saline can be used as an emergency substitute and once disinfection with povidone-iodine cotton pads is suitable for emergency situations.

Abstract:Objective To investigate regulation mechanism of miR-17 on acute lung injury(ALI)in mice through Toll like receptor 4(TLR4)/myeloid differentiation factor 88(MyD88)/nuclear transcription factor kappa B(NF-κB)sig-naling pathway.Methods A total of 40 6-8 week male C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into sham operation group,model group,over-expression group and low-expression group,with 10 mice in each.The sham operation group was treated with normal saline 1 mg/kg in the trachea,while the other 3 groups were treated with lipopolysaccharide 1 mg/kg in the trachea to establish ALI model.Model group,over-expression group and low-expression group were injected with miR-17 empty vector,over-expression and low-expression recombinant plasmids 1 mg/kg through tail vein,the sham operation group was injected with equal amount of normal saline 1 mg/kg,once daily for two consecutive weeks.After 2 weeks,hematoxylin-eosin(HE)staining was used to observe pathological changes in lungs,lung injury score was calculated.The arterial oxygen partial pressure,oxygenation index,wet-to-dry weight ratio of lung tissues,protein concentration in bron-choalveolar lavage fluid(BALF),tumour necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α),interleukin 1 beta(IL-1β)and IL-6 levels were compared.Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)was used to detect miR-17 in lung tissues,Western blot was used to detect TLR4、MyD88、NF-κB protein expression in lung tissues.Results Compared with the sham operation group,the levels of TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-1β in BALF,lung injury scores,wet-to-dry weight ratio of lung tissues,protein concentration in BALF and protein ex-pression of miR-17,TLR4,MyD88 and NF-κB in lung tissues were elevated,while arterial blood oxygen partial pressure and oxygenation index decreased in the low-expression group,model group and over-expression group(P<0.05);com-pared with the model group,the levels of TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-1β in BALF,lung injury scores,wet-to-dry weight ratio of lung tissues,protein concentration in BALF and protein expression of miR-17,TLR4,MyD88 and NF-κB in lung tissues were elevated,while arterial blood oxygen partial pressure and oxygenation index decreased in the over-expression group(P<0.05);compared with the over-expression group,the levels of TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-1β in BALF,lung injury scores,wet-to-dry weight ratio of lung tissues,protein concentration in BALF and protein expression of miR-17,TLR4,MyD88 and NF-κB in lung tissues decreased,while arterial blood oxygen partial pressure and oxygenation index increased in the low-expression group(P<0.05).Conclusion High expression of miR-17 may activate TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB signaling path-way to participate in the occurrence of ALI in mice.

Relationship of Prevalence of Human Papillomavirus Infection Among Women and Its Association with Thinprep Cytologic Test Results

Abstract:Objective To analyze the prevalence of human papillomavirus(HPV)infection among women and its correlation with thinprep cytologic test(TCT)results.Methods A total of 3 894 women who underwent HPV and TCT in a hospital in Wuhan from February 2024 to February 2025 were selected as the study subjects,the characteristics of HPV infection in different age groups and TCT results were compared and analyzed.Results Among participants,311 cases(7.99%)were HPV positive,including 241 cases of single infection(77.49%),57 cases of double infection(18.33%)and 13 cases of multiple infection(4.18%);257 cases(82.64%)were in high-risk group and 54 cases(17.36%)were in low-risk group.The constituent ratios of high-risk and low-risk genotypes were 79.44%and 20.56%,respectively.The main prevalent high-risk genotypes were HPV58,16,53,18,51 and 52.The detection rates of HPV in women with physical examination and without physical examination were 3.52%and 13.89%,respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),among which the highest HPV detection rate was 13.96%in the outpatient.There was a significant difference in the distri-bution of HPV infection genotypes among different age groups(P<0.05),among which,the HPV detection rate in the 16-20 years old was higher than that in the other age,infection with single,high-risk types of HPV was predominant across all ages group.TCT results showed that:there were 197 cases(5.06%)of atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance(ASC-US),23 cases(0.59%)of low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion(LSIL),15 cases(0.39%)of high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion(HSIL)and negative for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy(NILM)was not found in 3 659 cases(93.97%).There was a significant difference in HPV detection rate among patients with different TCT results(P<0.05),NILM had the lowest HPV detection rate,while ASC-US and LSIL+HSIL had significantly higher HPV detection rates,and there was a significant difference in HPV detection rate among patients with different TCT results in each group(P<0.05),the detection rate of high-risk HPV infection in HSIL+LSIL patients was significantly higher(P<0.05).Con-clusion The main high-risk genotype of HPV infection were HPV 58,16,53,18,51 and 52,and the infection was dominated by single and high-risk type,the age distribution characteristics were"U"type,and the detection rate of high-risk HPV increased with the increase of TCT cytopathology,so HPV infection screening should be carried out for high-risk population,it is of great significance for the prevention and control of cervical cancer in women.

Analysis of Influencing Factors for Post-stroke Cognitive Impairment in Stroke Patients

Abstract:Objective To explore the influencing factors of post-stroke cognitive impairment(PSCI)in stroke patients,and provide reference for clinical prevention and treatment.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on a cohort of 404 stroke patients admitted to the department of rehabilitation medicine of the author's hospital from January 2019 to March 2024,the patients were categorized into PSCI group(n=201)and non-PSCI group(n=203)based on their mini-mental state examina-tion(MMSE)scores at the time of admission.The national institute of health stroke scale(NIHSS)was used to evaluate the se-verity of neurological deficit in stroke patients.The modified Barthel index(MBI)was used to evaluate the cognitive function of stroke patients.The general data,disease-related data,comorbidities and complications of the patients in two groups were com-pared,multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of PSCI in stroke patients.Results Among the 404 patients,201(49.75%)developed PSCI.Compared to the non-PSCI group,patients in the PSCI group were ol-der,had higher NIHSS scores,and exhibited higher prevalence rates of hypoproteinemia,deep vein thrombosis and atrial fibrilla-tion,in contrast,the MBI scores and disease duration were significantly lower in the PSCI group(all P<0.05);and statistical-ly significant differences were also observed between the two groups in blood type and stroke side(all P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that age[odds ratio(OR)=1.022,95%confidence interval(CI):1.002-1.042],blood type(type B,OR=4.363,95%CI:1.951-9.759;type AB,OR=6.995,95%CI:3.133-15.627),high NIHSS score(OR=1.124,95%CI:1.074-1.176),stroke side(left side,OR=6.714,95%CI:3.670-12.283;bilateral,(OR=2.310,95%CI:1.087-4.909)and hypoproteinemia(OR=1.979,95%CI:1.013-3.865)were in-dependent risk factors for PSCI in stroke patients(all P<0.05),high MBI score(OR=0.973,95%CI:0.960-0.986)was a protective factor(P<0.001).Conclusion Age,blood type,NIHSS score,MBI score,laterality of the stroke and hypopro-teinemia are independent determinants influencing the development of PSCI,clinically,it is imperative to formulate personalized prevention and treatment strategies grounded in these determinants to mitigate the incidence of PSCI and enhance the quality of life for patients.

Effects of Rumex Chalepensis Extract Regulating Wnt/β-catenin Pathway on Mucosal Repair and Pyroptosis in Gastric Ulcer Rats

Abstract:Objective To study the effects of Rumex chalepensis extract(Rch)on mucosal repair and pyroptosis in rats with gastric ulcer,and explore the pharmacological mechanism of Rch on gastric ulcer rats based on wingless-type MMTV integration site family(Wnt)/β-catenin pathway.Methods Among 63 rats,10 rats were reserved for the control group by the random number table method,and the remaining 53 rats were used to establish gastric ulcer models by the method of acetic acid burning,finally,50 rats were successfully modeled and divided into gastric ulcer group,Rch-L group,Rch-M group,Rch-H group and positive control group according to the random number table method,with 10 rats in each.Rats in the Rch-L group,Rch-M group and Rch-H group were respectively given Rch by gavage at doses of 200,400 and 800 mg/kg,rats in the positive control group were administered omeprazole at a dose of 20 mg/kg by ga-vage,rats in both the control and gastric ulcer groups were administered an equivalent volume of normal saline by gavage.All drug interventions were administered once a day for 28 consecutive days.The ulcer area and healing rate of gastric mucosa were measured and calculated;serum levels of interleukin 1 beta(IL-1β),tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α),IL-10,IL-17,IL-18 and IL-23,and the levels of superoxide dismutase(SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA),epidermal growth factor(EGF),nitric oxide(NO)and prostaglandin E2(PGE2)in gastric mucosal tissues were measured by en-zyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA);pathological changes of gastric mucosa were examined by hematoxylin-eosin(HE)staining;the mRNA levels of Wnt5a and β-catenin in gastric mucosa were determined by quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR);the expression of nod-like receptor protein 3(NLRP3)and cysteine aspartase 1(Caspase-1),gas-dermin D(GSDMD),Wnt5a and β-catenin protein levels in gastric mucosa was detected by Western blot.Results ① Compared with control group,the ulcer area significantly increased in the gastric ulcer group(P<0.05);compared with the gastric ulcer group,the ulcer area significantly decreased and the ulcer healing rate significantly increased in the Rch-L,Rch-M,Rch-H and positive control groups(all P<0.05);compared with the Rch-L group,the ulcer area significantly decreased and the ulcer healing rate significantly increased in the Rch-M,Rch-H and positive control groups(all P<0.05);com-pared with the Rch-M group,the ulcer area significantly decreased and the ulcer healing rate significantly increased in the Rch-H and positive control groups(all P<0.05).② Compared with the control group,the serum levels of IL-1β,TNF-α,IL-17,IL-18 and IL-23 significantly increased,while the level of IL-10 significantly decreased in the gastric ulcer group(all P<0.05);compared with the gastric ulcer group,the levels of IL-1β,TNF-α,IL-17,IL-18 and IL-23 signifi-cantly decreased,while the level of IL-10 significantly increased in the Rch-L,Rch-M,Rch-H and positive control groups(all P<0.05);compared with the Rch-L group,the levels of IL-1β,TNF-α,IL-17,IL-18 and IL-23 significantly de-creased,while the level of IL-10 significantly increased in the Rch-M,Rch-H and positive control groups(all P<0.05);compared with the Rch-M group,the levels of IL-1β,TNF-α,IL-17,IL-18 and IL-23 significantly decreased,while the level of IL-10 significantly increased in the Rch-H and positive control groups(all P<0.05);compared with the Rch-H group,the levels of IL-1β,TNF-α,IL-17,IL-18 and IL-23 significantly increased,while the level of IL-10 significantly decreased in the positive control group(all P<0.05).③ Compared with the control group,the MDA level significantly increased,while the levels of SOD,EGF,NO and PGE2 in the gastric mucosa significantly decreased in the gastric ulcer group(all P<0.05);compared with the gastric ulcer group,the MDA level significantly decreased,while the levels of SOD,EGF,NO and PGE2 significantly increased in the Rch-L,Rch-M,Rch-H and positive control groups(all P<0.05);compared with the Rch-L group,the MDA level significantly decreased,while the levels of SOD,EGF,NO and PGE2 significantly increased in the Rch-M,Rch-H and positive control groups(all P<0.05);compared with the Rch-M group,the levels of SOD,EGF,NO and PGE2 significantly increased in the Rch-H and positive control groups,further-more,the MDA level significantly decreased in the Rch-H group but significantly increased in the positive control group(all P<0.05);compared with the Rch-H group,the MDA level significantly increased,while the levels of SOD,EGF,NO and PGE2 significantly decreased in the positive control group(all P<0.05).④ Gastric mucosal cells in the control group were arranged orderly with intact glands and no pathological changes;compared with the control group,the gastric mucosal cells were arranged sparsely with disrupted glandular architecture,accompanied by inflammatory cell infiltration and necrosis in the gastric ulcer group;compared with the gastric ulcer group,the gastric mucosal cells were arranged more orderly,inflammatory cell infiltration was alleviated,and gastric pathology was markedly improved in the Rch-L,Rch-M,Rch-H and positive control groups.⑤ Compared with the control group,the mRNA levels of Wnt5a and β-cate-nin of the gastric mucosa significantly increased in the gastric ulcer group(all P<0.05);compared with the gastric ulcer group,the mRNA levels of Wnt5a and β-catenin significantly decreased in the Rch-L,Rch-M,Rch-H and positive control groups(all P<0.05);compared with the Rch-L group,the mRNA levels of Wnt5a and β-catenin significantly decreased in the Rch-M,Rch-H and positive control groups(all P<0.05);compared with the Rch-M group,the mRNA levels of Wnt5a and β-catenin significantly decreased in the Rch-H and positive control groups(all P<0.05);compared with the Rch-H group,the mRNA levels of Wnt5a and β-catenin significantly increased in the positive control group(all P<0.05).⑥ Compared with the control group,the protein levels of NLRP3,Caspase-1,GSDMD,Wnt5a and β-catenin of the gastric mucosa significantly increased in the gastric ulcer group(all P<0.05);compared with the gastric ulcer group,the protein levels of NLRP3,Caspase-1,GSDMD,Wnt5a and β-catenin significantly decreased in the Rch-L,Rch-M,Rch-H and positive control groups(all P<0.05);compared with the Rch-L group,the protein levels of NLRP3,Caspase-1,GSDMD,Wnt5a and β-catenin significantly decreased in the Rch-M,Rch-H and positive control groups(all P<0.05);compared with the Rch-M group,the protein levels of NLRP3,Caspase-1,GSDMD,Wnt5a and β-catenin sig-nificantly decreased in the Rch-H and positive control groups(all P<0.05);compared with the Rch-H group,the protein levels of NLRP3,Cas pase-1,GSDMD,Wnt5a and β-catenin significantly increased in the positive control group(all P<0.05).Conclusion Rch can significantly reduce the systemic inflammation level in rats with gastric ulcer,inhibit oxida-tive stress damage of the gastric mucosa in rats,repair pathological changes of the gastric mucosa,and inhibit pyroptosis of gastric mucosal cells,its mechanism may be related to the regulation of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway.

Implications of the Russia-Ukraine Conflict for the Construction of Chinese Military Pharmacy Support System

Abstract:Objective To explore the role of military pharmacy in the Russia-Ukraine conflict,to enlighten our ar-my to strengthen the construction of military pharmacy system.Methods The current status and issues of pharmaceutical support in the Russia-Ukraine conflict were analyzed;combined with the current state of Chinese military pharmacy sup-port system construction,the challenges faced by Chinese military pharmacy personnel were identified,and suggestions were provided on how to strengthen the construction of Chinese military pharmacy system.Results By analyzing the cur-rent status of pharmacy personnel resources in Chinese military and the challenges faced by pharmacy staff in responding to new forms of warfare,the construction of Chinese military pharmacy support system can be strengthened through the application of unmanned pharmacy support technologies,enhancing redundant support capabilities,and achieving rapid re-sponse to medications in combat trauma treatment.Conclusion Chinese military pharmacy support system should contin-uously strengthen modern intelligent support changes in multiple fields,such as casualty treatment,drug delivery and medical service coordination,thereby comprehensively improving the level of military pharmacy support capability con-struction.

Comparison of the Performance of Decision Tree,Random Forest Model and Regression Nomogram Model in Predicting Ad-verse Perinatal Outcomes in Pregnant Women with Fetal Growth Restriction

Abstract:Objective To establish a predictive model that includes multiple risk factors for fetal growth restriction(FGR),explore the related risk factors for FGR and provide reference for prenatal counseling and postpartum care.Meth-ods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical information of 359 FGR pregnant women who gave birth in the obstetrics department of the author's hospital from January to December 2023,according to the perinatal outcome,the pregnant women were divided into poor prognosis group(n=151)and good prognosis group(n=208).Three methods,including decision tree,random forest model and regression nomogram model,were used to construct the prediction model of adverse perinatal outcomes in FGR pregnant women.The performance of each method was analyzed by evaluating the area under the curve(AUC)of the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve,accuracy,precision and other parame-ters.Results Compared with the good prognosis group,the maternal age,gravidity,body weight,body mass index(BMI),cesarean section rate,neonatal intensive care unit(NICU)transfer rate,intrapartum hemorrhage,postpartum hemorrhage within 24 h and abnormal fetal blood flow signal rate of the pregnant women in poor prognosis group all in-creased(all P<0.05),gestational age at admission,gestational age at diagnosis,gestational age at delivery,placental weight,neonatal birth weight,Apgar scores(1 min and 5 min)all decreased(all P<0.05).Among the three models,random forest model had the highest performance in predicting FGR,with an AUC of 0.914(95%CI:0.854-0.975).Conclusion Random forest model can accurately predict the occurrence of FGR.Strengthening the monitoring and treatment of early warning factors can help to predict the adverse outcome of FGR early,and take intervention measures in advance to improve the prognosis of mother and child.

Protective Effect of Modified Yupingfeng Powder Combined with Guizhi Decoction on the Personnel Rapidly Ascending to Plateau

Abstract:Objective To observe the protective effect of modified Yupingfeng powder combined with Guizhi decoc-tion on acute high altitude illness(AHAI)in personnel rapidly ascending to plateau.Methods A total of 90 male officers and soldiers from the troops that were urgently dispatched to the plateau region for training in 2022 were recruited and randomly divided into modified Yupingfeng powder combined with Guizhi decoction group(modified Yupingfeng powder group),Rhodiola group and Acetazolamide group,with 30 participants in each.The modified Yupingfeng powder group and the Rhodiola group took Yupingfeng powder granules and rhodiola capsules orally for 14 d,respectively,7 d before entering plateau,the Acetazolamide group took Acetazolamide tablets orally for 4 d,24 h before entering plateau.The differences of blood pressure,heart rate,blood oxygen saturation,incidence and severity of AHAI,inflammatory index,immunoglobulin M(IgM),neutrophil count and drug safety index were compared among the three groups on the 1st(D1),3rd(D3)and 7th days(D7)after sta-tioned at plateau.Results The modified Yupingfeng pow-der group showed significantly higher blood oxygen satu-ration and lower heart rate and blood pressure compared to the other two groups at each timing(all P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in the overall incidence rate of AHAI among the three groups(P<0.05),and the in-cidence of AHAI was significantly lower in the modified Yupingfeng powder group than that in Rhodiola group(P<0.05),however,there was no significant difference in the severity of AHAI among the three groups at each timing(P>0.05).The interleukin 6(IL-6)level in the modified Yupingfeng powder group was lower than that in the other two groups on the D1 and D3,the IL-8,IL-1 β and tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α)levels were significantly lower than those in the other two groups at each timing(all P<0.05).The levels of IL-10 and IgM anti-inflammatory factors in the modified Yupingfeng powder group were significantly higher than those in the other two groups at each timing(all P<0.05).The neutrophil count of participants in Acetazolamide group was lower than that of modified Yupingfeng powder group and Rhodiola group on D1(all P<0.05).The incidence of adverse drug reactions in the modified Yupingfeng powder group and Acetazolamide group was higher than that in the Rhodiola group,and Acetazolamide group was higher than that in the Yupingfeng powder group(all P<0.05).Conclusion Modified Yupingfeng powder combined with Guizhi decoction helps maintain the vital signs of personnel rapidly ascending to plateau,and it can significantly reduce incidence of AHAI,reduce the levels of inflammatory factors,enhance the body's immunity,which is relatively safe and has impor-tant clinical value for the prevention of AHAI.
