Abstract:Objective To investigate the impact of work stress on the quality of sleep of tunnel operation soldier and verify the mediating role of psychological resilience and accumulative fatigue. Methods Through cluster sampling survey of the military personnel engaged in tunnel operations, the work stress scale(WSS),Connor-Davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC),Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)and self-diagnosis questionnaire of fatigue accumulation among workers were used to investigate. Results The incidence rate of sleep disorders among 296 military personnel engaged in tunnel operations was 57.43%;work stress was significantly positively correlated with the total score of sleep quality and accumulative fatigue(r=0.310,0.231,P<0.01),and significantly negatively correlated with psychological resilience(r=-0.286,P<0.01);psychological resilience was significantly negatively correlated with the total score of sleep quality and accumulative fatigue(r=-0.448,-0.369,P<0.01),and accumulative fatigue was significantly positively correlated with the total score of sleep quality(r=0.484,P<0.01);psychological resilience and accumulative fatigue played a partial mediating role(β=0.080,0.048,P<0.01)and a chain mediating role(β=0.033,P<0.01)between the work stress and sleep quality of military personnel engaged in tunnel operations. Conclusion Military personnel en-gaged in tunnel operations have a relatively high incidence of sleep disorders, work pressure can directly affect the sleep quality of military personnel engaged in tunnel operations, and can also affect sleep quality through the mediating effect of psychological resilience and accumulative fatigue,as well as the chain mediating effect of these two variables.
