[Journal Article]LIN Cuifang, LI Shaoying, GUO Cuiying et al.-Electronic Journal of Medical Operations2024, No.02

Abstract:Objective To analyze the application effect of stage target teaching combined with situational simulation teaching method in operating room nursing teaching. Methods 90 nursing interns who came to Panyu District Central Hospital of Guangzhou from June 2022 to May 2023 were selected and divided into study group(January to May 2023)and control group(June to December 2022)by time grouping method,45 cases each. The control group provided situational simulation teaching method and traditional teaching method, and the study group added stage target teaching method. The core ability, first aid ability and professional identity scores, and teaching satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results The theoretical and practical scores of the study group after teaching were significantly higher than those of the control group;the score of core ability, the scores of first-aid ability and professional identity, and the satisfaction of teaching were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of stage target teaching and scene simulation teaching method can improve the quality of nursing teaching in operating room and enhance the clinical work ability of nursing interns, and it is worth applying.

Effect of humanistic care combined with music therapy on relieving the anxiety of surgical patients before perioperative period
[Journal Article]WU Fuhang, JIANG Shuting, LIU Fen et al.-Electronic Journal of Medical Operations2023, No.05

Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of perioperative humanistic care combined with music therapy on relieving the anxiety of surgical patients. Methods A randomized controlled trial design was used in this study.100 surgical patients admitted from October 2022 to April 2023 were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, and the experimental group received humanistic care combined with music therapy on the basis of the control group. The scores of self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Fear of Surgery Questionnaire(SFQ),vital signs index and Psychological Resilience Scale(CD-RISC)before and after intervention were compared between the two groups, and the satisfaction of patients was compared between the two groups. Results The SAS and SFQ scores of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group and before the intervention(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of optimism, tenacity and self-strengthening of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group and before intervention(P<0.05).Systolic blood pressure and heart rate had no significant differences between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05),and the fluctuation ranges of systolic blood pressure and heart rate in the experimental group were significantly smaller than those in the control group after intervention(P<0.05).The total satisfaction of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Before surgery, the application of humanistic care combined with music therapy can provide surgical patients with more nuanced care and better nursing, reduce their fear of surgery, relieve their anxiety, stabilize their preoperative vital signs, improve their psychological resilience, and make them more optimistic and strong in the face of surgery. It also improves patient satisfaction with nursing staff.

Effect of the nutrition pathway management model on postoperative intervention and its impact on social support in second and third degree burn patients
[Journal Article]HU Dan, GU Lijun, ZHANG Wenwen et al.-Electronic Journal of Medical Operations2023, No.06

Abstract:Objective To explore the intervention effect of the nutrition pathway management model on postoperative care of second and third degree burn patients and its impact on social support. Methods Fifty patients with second and third degree burns from May 2021 to June 2022 were selected as the study subjects. All patients underwent surgical treatment and were randomly divided into two groups using the envelope method, with 25 patients in each group. The control group received routine nursing care, while the observation group received a combination of routine nursing care and the nutrition pathway management model. Both groups of patients were intervened for 2 months and their effects were evaluated. The nutritional status, social support, visual analogue pain(VAS)scores, and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The nutritional status of the two groups was improved after 2 months of intervention compared with before intervention(P<0.05).The levels of total protein, prealbumin, hemoglobin and transferrin in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After two months of intervention, the social support level of the two groups increased, and the pain decreased compared with before intervention(P<0 05).The subjective and objective support and support utilization scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The incidences of postoperative bleeding, pulmonary infection, redness and swelling, stress ulcers, and gastrointestinal symptoms in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The nutrition pathway management model used for postoperative patients with second and third degree burns can improve their nutritional status, increase social support levels, alleviate patient pain, and has high treatment safety. It is worth promoting and applying.

Application of a highly precise positioning system in the management of operating room workers
[Journal Article]CHEN Xiaochen, WU Qiuyue, ZHONG Wenqin et al.-Electronic Journal of Medical Operations2023, No.05

Abstract:Objective This study aimed to improve support staff's enthusiasm, shorten operating room waiting time, accelerate turnover rates, and enhance patient care quality by properly allocating resources, building a support staff database, equipping workload statistical tools, quantifying workload, and establishing an evaluation mechanism. Methods By using high-precision positioning technology in conjunction with the perioperative information system for operating room patients,a data traceability database was constructed, and work was assigned and statistically analyzed to support staff through a pre-assignment system. Results The optimized performance management for support staff resulted in a 75.5%reduction in frozen delivery waiting time,a 49.5%reduction in occupancy time, and a 63.5%reduction in average waiting time during high-demand periods in the operating room. This facilitated staff to achieve overall coordination and scheduling in the operating room, reduce unnecessary idle time, standardize work results management, and shorten operating room waiting time. Conclusion The application of high-precision positioning technology effectively allocates support staff resources, shortens waiting time in the operating room.At the same time, the incentive mechanism established according to the performance management plan improves the work enthusiasm and satisfaction of support staff.
