A Case of Neuronal Intranuclear Inclusion Disease Presenting Mainly as Parkinsonism
Abstract:Neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease (NIID) is a rare neurodegenerative disorder characterized by eosinophilic, hyaline intranuclear inclusions in the central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous systems. It has unique histological and imaging features, and its clinical manifestations show significant heterogeneity. This article reports a case of NIID diagnosed by genetic testing, presenting mainly as parkinsonism. The latest research progress on NIID is summarized in combination with relevant literature.
