Abstract:Grating is an optical element that disperses light by the principle of multi-slit diffraction.Generalized diffraction gratings can be divided into transmission gratings and reflection gratings. In recent years, with the progress of science and technology and the development of industrial production technology, new gratings such as fiber grating, array waveguide grating and holographic grating have appeared, and the generation of such new gratings has also promoted the development of science and technology and industrial production. In addition, the grating also has important applications in physics teaching and laboratories. In physics experiment teaching, the transmission grating can be used to measure the wavelength of the incident light, and the optical parameters of the grating can be obtained by the diffraction effect of the light. This paper first introduces the development history and application of the grating, and then focuses on the application of transmission gratings in the laboratory, starting from"measuring the wavelength of light waves with transmission gratings".Through experimental operations, the role divergence and discrimination ability of gratings are calculated, and the experimental data is classified, compared, and summarized. Finally, the characteristics and general laws of transmission gratings are obtained.
