Overview of atmospheric barrier discharge plasma in airflow control

Abstract：Plasma, like solid, liquid and gas, is an existing form of matter, and it is also called the fourth state of matter.In this paper, firstly, the basic characteristics of gas discharge plasma , the widespread existence of plasma in the space, the method of plasma division, the generation method of plasma and the development history of gas discharge plasma are briefly introduced .Secondly, the importance of airflow control technology in aerospace field, the classification of airflow control technology , the technical advantages and the mechanism of ac - tive airflow control technology are further introduced.Thirdly, the current status of atmospheric pressure discharge plasma airflow control technology are emphatically introduced , and the technical advantages of atmospheric pressure barrier discharge plasma airflow control technology and its application in airflow control field are mainly introduced.At last, the research work of atmospheric pressure barrier discharge plasma in airflow control field is prospected.
