Abstract:We fabricated single crystal α-MnO2 nanotubes and their supported Au-Pd nanocatalysts via the hydrothermal and polymer protected NaBH4 reduction method, respectively, and investigated their catalytic performance for the removal of ethyl-acetate, m-xylene, and the binary mixtures.XRD, SEM and TEM as well as H2-TPR were employed to characterize their physicochemical properties.Under the reaction conditions of VOCs concentration =1000 mg/L, VOCs/O2 molar ratio =1:400, and space velocity =40000 mL/(g·h), 0.91Au0.48Pd/α-MnO2 performed better than α-MnO2 for the catalytic removal of individual ethyl acetate or m-xylene, due to the former sample exhibited better low-temperature reducibility.
