Syntheses, structures and properties of two supramolecular structures based on different sandwich -type polyoxometalates

Abstract：By using two flexible ligands 1,1′-(1,4-butanediyl)bis(imidazole) (bbi) and 1,4-bis(imi-dazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene (bix), we obtained two supramolecular compounds based on different Sandwich -type polyoxometalates, (bix)5[H5AsW9Co2(H2O)O34]2? 2H2O (1)and (bbi)4[H5AsW9Ni2(H2O)O34]2?4H2O(2), and characterized them by single -crystal X -ray diffraction, elemental analysed and IR spectra. Structural analyses show that compound 1 crystallizes in space group P21/n, a=13.5665(9)?,b=17.6394(13)?, c=23.8019(17)?,β=102.326(7)°,V=5564.6(7)?3,Z=2,R1 =0.0352, ωR2 =0.0514.Compound 2 crystallizes in space group P 1, a=12.311(5)?, b=13.661(5)?, c=16.971(5)?,α=103.608(5)°,β=104.189(5)°,γ=111.906(5)°,V=2392.0(15)?3,Z=1,R1 =0.0601, R2 =0.1734.In these two title compounds , there exist abundant hydrogen bonding interactions between two different sandwich anions and lig -ands bbi and bix to construct supramolecular structures .
