Analysis and simulation test of RC circuit transient process in sinusoidal excitation signal

Abstract：To systematically study on the transient process of RC first-order circuit under the excitation of the sinusoidal signal, the mathematical expression of the complete response, composed of sinusoidal steady com-ponent superimposing on transient component, is derived from the differential equation of the circuit. The over-voltage phenomenon in transient process occurs due to the existence of transient components and initial phase an-gle conditions of sinusoidal excitation signal for producing maximum overvoltage are analyzed. And then the sim-ulation test is explored with Multisim software.
