Abstract:Isothermal adsorption and kinetic adsorption are important for the study of the adsorption behavior of the molecularly imprinted polymers ( MIPs) towards analyte. The adsorption behavior of the clenbuterol hydro-chloride ( CLB) MIPs synthesized by covalent imprinting method was investigated by employing isothermal ad-sorption models and kinetic adsorption models. The results showed that the CLB MIPs particles with uniform sur-face binding with CLB were chemisorptions processes, which can be divided into two phases:surface adsorption and slow diffusion in specific cavity. The diffusion adsorption was not the only influence factor on the binding rate of the MIPs.In addition, there was interaction between CLB molecular during adsorption processes.
