Abstract:Through using cyclohexane-1,4-dicarboxylic acid and Cu(NO3)2, a new one-dimensional coordination polymer containing bi-nuclear copper clusters was synthesized under hydrothermal conditions, [ Cu (H2O)C8H10O4]2(1) (C8H10O4 =cyclohexane-1,4-dicarboxylic acid), and characterized by elemental an-alyses and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.Structural analysis shows that complex 1 crystallizes in space group P1, a=6.911(5)?,b=8.460(5) ?,c=8.602(5)?,α=72.804(5)°,β=84.853(5)°,γ=85.235(5)°,V=477.7(5) ?3 ,Z=1,R1 =0.0625,ωR2 =0.1864.Complex 1 contains bi-nuclear copper clusters, which are further linked by cyclohexane-1,4-dicarboxylic acid molecules covalently to construct a"cycle-connecting-cycle" chain. We also studied the photocatalytic activity of 1 toward methylene blue ( MB) .
