Thermodynamic calculation and analysis for synthesising adipic acid by oxidation of cyclohexane with H 2 O2

Abstract：A detailed thermodynamic calculation for the reactions of oxidation of cyclohexane into adipic acid and other products was conducted , involvingΔr Hmθ,Δr Gmθand Kθ.The results showed that all five oxidation re-actions mentioned are exothermal between 298.15 K~373.15 K, and the reactants will be consumed completely when equilibrium reach .The appropriate stoichiometric ratio of hydrogen peroxide/clohexane for producing adip-ic acid is 5:1~6:1.
