Abstract：Optimization for a class of microbial fermentation process is addressed in this paper .A steady-state optimization model is first given .This problem maximizes the concentration of product 1, 3-propanediol. Then a hybrid optimization method for solving the presented problem is constructed by using the MATLAB and 1 stOpt software toolkits .Good application effects have been achieved .
