Development and Research of Power Quality Analysis System Based on VB

Abstract：Power quality has a great significance on grid security , economic operation and the normal work of user equipment .In this paper , the data source is based on three -phase voltage and three -phase current of power system , the calculation methods of power quality index and its standards are studied , and the power quali-ty analysis system is designed and developed by Visual basic .The developed software platform can calculate vari-ous power quality indexes in different cycle , including phase voltage , line voltage , phase current , line current , voltage deviation, voltage imbalance degree , distortion rate, harmonic, frequency deviation , power, etc.The status of power quality can be evaluated by comparing the calculated value with the national standard index . Meanwhile , the validity of this software is verified using the simulation data and the field test data .
