The effect on the ion wind velocity of the surface dielectric barrier discharge actuator with different dielectric layer thickness

Abstract：The self-designed atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge actuator with two -electrode structure is introduced briefly .The discharge voltage and current waveforms of the actuator is analyzed , the ion wind velocity of the actuators with different dielectric layer thickness are measured .the experimental results show that the dielectric layer thickness can produce very big effect on the performance of the actuator .
