Study on the mixing process of the series disc -screw extruder

Abstract：MST was used to generate the mesh of the mixing section of the series disc -screw extruder , then the dynamic mixing process of the material in the flow field was simulated to study the trajectories of the particles and the mixing processes .POLYFLOW was used to simulate the mixing process , select the residence time and the maximum shear stress as quantitative indicators and evaluate mixing performance of the mixing section of the machine.It was found that the residence time of the materials in the mixing section of the series disc -screw ex-truder was long and had a wide distribution , which was conducive to mixing , to get stable products .
