Fence farming impact on Nansi Lake ecological environment
Abstract：To examine the impact of enclosure aquaculture of mitten crab(Eriocheir sinensis) on aquatic ecosystem,a comparative study was conducted between enclosure aquaculture region and control region from the spring to autumn of 2010 in Nansi Lake.The main results indicate that there were smaller biomass and coverage rate of aquatic plants and smaller biomass and fewer kinds of macrozoobenthos in the enclosure aquaculture region than control region.There were also lower content of DO and higher content of COD,TP,NH4+-N,NO2——N,NO3——N and TN in water as higher content of NH4+-N,NO2——N,NO3——N and TN and lower TP in sediment in the enclosure aquaculture region,while a large number of N and P being absorbed and oxygen being released by aquatic plants in the control region through photosynthesis.And the enclosure aquaculture of mitten crab significantly affects the aquatic ecosystem in Nansi Lake as the environmental quality in enclosure aquaculture region being inferior to the control region.
