A novel method for attribute reduction based on covering rough sets
Abstract：Recently, many scholars try to extend the rough set theory to the more general situation. The approach to attribute reduction in information systems is studied based on covering rough sets. A review of some basic notions is first made related to covering rough sets. Then, the definition of relevant classes and several related theorems is given, and the method is presented for reducing attributes. Finally, an example is employed to show that the proposed reduction method is an effective technique.
