Nonlinear thermospin effect in a quantum dot coupled to ferromagnetic leads
Abstract:Spin voltage induced by temperature gradient in a quantum dot coupled to ferromagnetic leads is investigated. It is found that large spin bias is obtained when the quantum dot energy level is apart from the electron-hole symmetry point. Both the magnitude and the strength of the spin bias can be tuned by the direction of the temperature gradient. When the ferromagnetisms of the two leads are in parallel configuration, the magnitude of the spin bias is relatively small, while it become obviously large in the antiparallel case.
