摘要：With the development of surgery skills in spine, posterior selective fusion of the spine segments can achieve good clinical outcomes. However, proximal junctional kyphosis ( PJK ) and poximal junctional failure ( PJF ) are common complications after spine deformity surgery. By reviewing relevant literatures comprehensively, PJK and PJF are elaborated in detail including the deifnition, pathogenetic mechanism, risk factors, prevention and classiifcations. It will be helpful for surgeons to schedule treatment plan and reduce the incidence of the PJK and PJF.
