Analysis of the current situation and development suggestions of the new materials industry in Henan province

Abstract：Henan is a major province in traditional materials and new materials have developed rapidly in recent years.There are obvious advantages in the fields of non-ferrous metals,superhard materials,new building materials,and refractory materials.Some industries,such as superhard materials and nylon chemical new materials,have prominent agglomeration effects and distinctive features.Currently,Henan province has continuously strengthened its policy support for the new materials industry,reaching a historical high point.The innovation capability of enterprises has been significantly improved.The total scale of material-related human resources is constantly increasing.The raw material resources required for new material manufacturing are abundant and the original industrial foundation is relatively solid.But it should be recognized that the innovative subject status of enterprises needs to be further strengthened.The financing channels for enterprise innovation are limited and the substantive cooperation between industry,academia and research also needs to be strengthened.To accelerate the high-quality development of the new materials industry in Henan province,the following suggestions are proposed:to deepen the integration of production and education,and strive for breakthroughs in material applications;to establish seed funds for new materials and establish a stable and continuous medium-to-long-term investment mechanism;to further increase financial support for innovative enterprises and optimize the funding and management mode of technology projects;to promote the construction of academic exchange platforms;to attach importance to and cultivate various technical talents;to strengthen theoretical research on implementing the development plan for the new materials industry,and scientifically formulate and implement project goals.
