Abstract:The traditional clothing culture of Huizhou originated in the Song and Yuan dynasties and flourished in the Ming and Qing dynasties, forming a unique system over centuries. Its form in-tegrates the ritual system of the Han ethnic group in the Central Plains with the regional culture of southern Anhui. It not only inherits the clothing and headwear regulations of the Tang and Song dy-nasties,but also incorporates the essence of Huizhou clan ethics,agrarian-literary traditions, and merchant culture. As one of the important carriers of the Huizhou cultural gene bank, traditional clothing serves both as a regional identity symbol, and an organic part of the cultural landscape of ancient villages in Huizhou. It shows considerable value in the integration of culture and tourism, and is an indispensable part of Chinese traditional culture. However, with the acceleration of moderniza-tion,this cultural system is facing three challenges:aging of the craftsman population, discontinuity in skill inheritance, and weakened recognition of cultural symbols. The rise of digital technology has brought new methods for the protection and inheritance of traditional Huizhou clothing culture, such as establishing digital archives, virtual displays, and 3D modeling. At the same time, the protection and inheritance of traditional Huizhou clothing culture also require social support from various aspects such as policy support, talent cultivation, industrial development, and community participation.Only by organically combining these factors can we truly promote the sustainable preservation and inherit-ance of Huizhou's traditional clothing culture, and open up a new paradigm of digital empowerment for the continuation and development of traditional skills.
