Research on the cultural value of chinese paper-cutting art and its application in art design

Abstract：Chinese papercutting art is rich in historical and cultural information and unique aesthetic value.Tracing its historical evolution can reveal the cultural continuity in its symbols,forms and folk functions.From multiple dimensions,its cultural value can be explored.At the cultural connotation level,papercutting showcases the daily life and rich imagination of the working people through themes such as human life,stories and legends,plants,animals and font graphics.At the contemporary value level,papercutting has demonstrated adaptive innovation in different historical periods.At the practi-cal and artistic appreciation value level,papercutting serves both practical functions as decoration for clothing and handicrafts and carries folk aesthetic experience and cultural memory through its cutting techniques and symbolic representations.Based on the above value analysis,the integration path of Chinese paper-cutting art with art design can be summarized as the fusion of the"form"of Chinese pa-per-cutting art with art design,endowing design with cultural depth through the"meaning"of Chi-nese paper-cutting art,and the creative reconstruction of Chinese papercutting art and art design,pro-moting the inheritance and innovation of Chinese papercutting art in the context of accelerated mod-ernization and rapid changes in production methods.
