Problems and countermeasures in the digital transformation of traditional industries in Henan province under the"dual carbon"goals

Abstract：The digital economy has driven high-quality economic development and empowered green development of China's economy and society.However,the energy consumption growth of the digital economy seems difficult to be matched with the"dual carbon"goals.This paper examines the develop-ment of traditional industries in Henan province over the recent years.A measurement system for the level of digital transformation of traditional industries in Henan province under the"dual carbon"goals has been constructed in five dimensions,namely the willingness of digital transformation of tra-ditional industries,the digital application of traditional industries,the digital infrastructure of tradi-tional industries,the digital innovation of traditional industries,and the government's attention to the digitalization of traditional industries.Twenty-nine listed companies in traditional industries in Henan province are selected as samples,and the obstacle model is used to diagnose the obstacle factors of the digital transformation of traditional industries in Henan province under the"dual carbon"goals.It is concluded that problems such as high carbon emissions from digital infrastructure,lack of inde-pendent innovation ability,insufficient industrial competitiveness,inadequate support policies and shortage of digital talents need to be improved.Corresponding countermeasures are proposed from as-pects such as building digital infrastructure,increasing investment in innovation and R&D,promoting the integration of industries,strengthening policy support,and enhancing the cultivation of digital talents.
