Design and development of a fabric color search system based on color feature value databases

Abstract：To assist fabric buyers and producers in efficiently searching for specific colors of fabrics and related information,a computer color matching system based on color feature values has been de-signed and developed.The functionalities,architecture,and database of the color matching system have been designed,and the performance of the system has been tested,demonstrating reliable per-formance.After measuring and recording the color characteristic values and formula data of fabrics that have been produced,administrators and corporate users input fabric color card data and formula data into the color-searching system to establish the corresponding database,followed by digital stor-age management and retrieval of this data.Super administrators,fabric production users,and fabric buyer users can input the required fabric color number or color feature values into the color matching module to query all matching fabrics or formula data.This research not only achieves systematic,standardized and digital storage management of fabric color and formula information,but also provides an efficient and convenient color-searching method for fabric buyers and production enterprises.It of-fers new technological approach for fabric color management in the textile industry.
