Abstract:In order to study the disintegration characteristics of silt under freeze-thaw cycle, this pa-per takes the typical silt in archaeological sites in Henan Province as the research object, and analyzes the disintegration characteristics of the site silt under different moisture content by a combination of macro and micro experiments. The results show that the disintegration characteristics of silt at the site are significantly affected by the freeze-thaw cycle and the degree of influence is closely related tots moisture content. The freeze-thaw cycle changes the particle state and pore structure of soil, and the soil's resistance to disintegration gradually weakens with the increase of freeze-thaw cycle. The effect of freeze-thaw cycle on the microstructure of silt increases with the increase of moisture content. The disintegration characteristics of silt at the site under the action of freeze-thaw cycle are controlled by its microstructure and moisture content.Under the same freeze-thaw cycle, the disintegration resist-ance of silt at the site shows a trend of first increasing and then decreasing with the increase of initial moisture content if the optimal moisture content is taken as the boundary point. In the protection and reinforcement of soil sites,it is necessary to avoid the soil being in an excessively dry or wet state.
