Research progress on damage behavior of rock bolt under stress corrosion environment

Abstract：The combined effects of load and corrosive agents during the service life of anchor rock bolts lead to structural corrosion,diminishing the bearing capacity and shortening the service longevi-ty.In order to deeply understand the influence of stress corrosion on the damage behavior of anchor rock bolt and the occurrence and failure conditions of stress corrosion cracking,it is of great signifi-cance to take remedial measures in advance to improve the durability and long-term stability of the an-chor structure.This paper briefly outlines stress corrosion cracking mechanisms and characteristics,summarizing the factors influencing bolt damage due to stress corrosion,encompassing material prop-erties,stress,air environment,groundwater composition,microorganisms,and the resultant physical and mechanical damage on rock bolts.Finally,based on the above analysis,the problems caused by stress corrosion damage of rock bolt and the difficulties and shortcomings of current stress corrosion research are prospected in many aspects.
