Abstract：Selected and compiled from the speeches delivered by Xi Jinping since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Book of Xi Jinping Wit and Vision: Selected Quotations and Commentary analyzes the distinctive features of Xi's speeches from the perspectives of imagery and metaphors, everyday sayings, and quotations from the classics.The book examines the origin and context of the expressions and explains the ideas behind them.As part of the political discourse, Xi's speeches contain a lot of metaphors in politics, which not only help him to demonstrate his ideas and attitudes, but also help to tell the stories of China, spread the voice of China and build the image of China.
