Abstract:Listening and speaking skills are two fundamental ones for international legal practitioners. However, little attention has been paid to the improvement of these two skills, which, to some extent, leads to an embarrassing situation where students can read legal documents but cannot communicate orally due to the lack of legal English listening and speaking skills. This paper, taking the teaching reform undertaken in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, intends to explore the application of "The Multimodality-Information-Cognition Teaching and Learning Model" to the teaching of legal English listening and speaking.
