Abstract：Graphene has been recognized as one of the most promising nanolubricants due to its excellent mechanical and frictional properties.The interfacial molecule and atoms adsorption is one of main factors influ-encing the friction performance of graphene.Therefore,the research of influence of molecules and atoms ad-sorptions on friction for graphene has become the focus of the tribology.The paper summarizes several mecha-nisms of surface adsorption on friction of graphene,and gives a brief perspective to the future study on the field.
