Abstract:Objective:To observe the effects of Radix Rehmanniae on the blood routine test indicators and hemorheology of rat models with blood deficiency syndrome and blood stasis syndrome. Methods:Forty male Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats were randomly divided into the blank group, the blood deficiency model group, the blood stasis model group, the blood deficiency with Radix Rehmanniae group, and the blood stasis with Radix Rehmanniae group, with 8 rats in each group. The blood deficiency model group was established by subcutaneous injection of acetylhydrazine, the blood stasis model group was established by subcutaneous injection of epinephrine and ice water bath, and the Radix Rehmanniae group was gavaged with 3 g/kg of Radix Rehmanniae for 14 consecutive days.At the 14th day, blood was collected from the abdominal aorta 2 hours after the last administration. The changes of symptoms and signs, blood routine test indicators, hemorheology, cortisol(COR),serum free thyroid hormone, and adrenocorticotropic hormone in each group of rats were analyzed and compared. Results:Compared with the blood deficiency model group, the blood deficiency Radix Rehmanniae group showed body mass index increased, mean corpuscular volume(MCV)decreased(P<0.05).Compared with the blood stasis model group, white blood cell count(WBC),red blood cell count(RBC),hemoglobin(Hb),hematocrit(HCT),and platelet count(PLT)in the blood stasis Radix Rehmanniae group increased(P<0.05),the red blood cell deformability index decreased(P<0.05).Compared with the blood deficiency model group and the blood stasis model group,COR in the blood deficiency Radix Rehmanniae group and the blood stasis Radix Rehmanniae group increased(P<0.05).Conclusion:Radix Rehmanniae played different roles in blood deficiency syndrome, cold congealing and blood stasis syndrome.Radix Rehmanniae promoted hematopoiesis in blood deficiency syndrome, cold congealing and blood stasis syndrome, and promoted coagulation in cold congealing and blood stasis syndrome.
