Exploration of the Syndrome Types and Elements and Prescription Medication Patterns of Famous Chinese Medicine Clinicians in Treating Insomnia Based on the Series of Chinese Hundred Year and Hundred Famous Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinicians

Abstract:Objective:To exploring the syndrome elements and drug prescription patterns of famous experts in treating insomnia through data mining.Methods:The medical case prescriptions for treating insomnia by all the physicians in Chinese Hundred Years and Hundred Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinicians Series were statistically analyzed,and the syndrome types,syndrome elements,and medication patterns were analyzed using data mining software.Results:A total of 114 prescriptions for treating insomnia by 32 modern famous traditional Chinese medicine experts were included,with a total of 197 drugs and total frequency of 1 381 times.Thirty-five syndrome types,eight syndrome elements of disease location and 14 syndrome elements of disease nature were extracted.A total of 37 high-frequency drugs(frequency≥10)were used with 887 times,accounting for 64.23%of all drug frequencies.The high-frequency drugs were sorted,and the three commonly used dosages and the application ranges of the drug dosages were respectively counted.The most common syndrome type was heart kidney disharmony,heart was the main disease location and heat was the main disease type.The main category of drugs was sedatives.The propertie of the medicine was mainly neutral.The medicinal taste was particularly sweet.Among the meridians,the heart meridian was the highest one.Association rule analysis revealed that there were 16 combinations.Factor analysis extracted 14 common factors.Systematic cluster analysis identified five major categories.Decision tree analysis screened out three main traditional Chinese medicines,namely licorice,thistle,and stone cassia.Complex network analysis indicated that the core drugs were dragon bone,oyster,sour jujube kernel,licorice,pinellia ternata,tangerine peel,and poria cocos,etc.Conclusion:Data mining reveals the syndrome types,syndrome elements and prescription medication patterns in the treatment of insomnia,with guiding significance for clinical practice.
