Abstract：Ischemic stroke is an acute cerebrovascular disease with complex causes. Traditional Chinese medicine has a rich theoretical and practical foundation in preventing and treating ischemic stroke. The integration of disease and syndrome animal models is an important carrier for studying the pathological process of the disease, elucidating the mechanisms of TCM treatment, and exploring original pathogenic theories. This paper elaborates on the preparation methods of integrated disease and syndrome animal models for ischemic stroke from the perspectives of disease modeling and syndrome modeling, aiming to provide ideas and basis for basic research on the prevention and treatment of ischemic stroke by traditional Chinese medicine.
