Abstract:Migraine is one of the common chronic disabling diseases. The pathogenesis remains unclear, and current treatment methods have limitations, making the clinical management of some migraine patients extremely challenging. Most research on the pathogenesis of migraine focuses on the trigeminovascular theory, which suggests that neurogenic inflammation participates in the pathophysiological process of migraine attacks and is an important link in the development of migraine. With the continuous deepening of research, the regulation of neurogenic inflammation has become one of the important directions for the development of targeted analgesic drugs for migraine. This article reviews the specific mechanisms of neurogenic inflammation in migraine and the research progress on targeted drug therapy.
