The Effect of Qigui Bawei Decoction on Cardiac Function and Oxidative Stress Indicators in ACS Patients Complicated with T2 DM after PCI

Abstract：Objective:To explore the effects of Qigui Bazheng Decoction on cardiac function and oxidative stress indicators in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS)complicated with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods:A total of 102 patients with ACS and T2DM who underwent PCI treatment were randomly divided into research group and the control group,with 51 cases in each group according to the random number table method.The control group patients were given conventional Western medicine treatment,while the research group patients were treated with Qijuhui Baowei Decoction in addition to the treatment of the control group.The efficacy,cardiac function index,oxidative stress index,and the incidence of adverse events were compared between the two groups.Results:The overall clinical effective rate of the research group was 96.08%,which was higher than that of the control group(78.43%),the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)in both groups increased compared to that before treatment,while the left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD)and left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD)decreased compared to that before treatment,moreover,the LVEF in the research group was higher than that in the control group,and the LVEDD and LVESD were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)in both groups increased compared to before treatment,while the level of malondialdehyde(MDA)decreased compared to that before treatment,moreover,the GSH-Px and SOD levels in the research group were higher than those in the control group,and the MDA level was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The comparison of the total incidence rates of adverse events in the two groups showed no statistically significant difference(P＞0.05).Conclusion:Qigui Baowei Decoction can improve the cardiac function and oxidative stress levels of ACS patients with T2DM who undergo PCI,with better efficacy.
