Abstract:Objective:To explore the effects of various exercises therapies on the mental health of patients with heart failure. Methods:The randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of exercise therapy for heart failure from databases such as PubMed,EMbase, the Cochrane Central Register of Randomized Trials,Web of Science, and the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)were searched from the establishment of the database to March 1st,2024.After screening the literature, extracting the data and evaluating the risk of bias of the included studies,a network Meta-analysis was conducted using the STATA software. Results:A total of 41 studies were finally included. The results of the network Meta-analysis showed that aerobic exercise(SMD=-0.82,95%CI-1.26--0.38,P<0.05),traditional Chinese exercise(SMD=-0.62,95%CI-1.18--0.05,P<0.05),and comprehensive training(SMD=-0.73,95%CI-1.16--0.31,P<0.05)could effectively alleviate the depressive mood of patients with heart failure, while there was no statistically significant difference in the alleviation effect of exercise on anxiety(P>0.05).The cumulative sorted probability graph area(SUCRA)sorting results showed that the most effective exercises for alleviating depression and anxiety were aerobic training and traditional Chinese exercises respectively. However, further pairwise comparisons revealed that there was no statistically significant difference in the intervention effects of different exercises(P>0.05).Conclusion:The available evidence indicates that aerobic exercise shows the most significant effect on the mental health of patients with heart failure. As a low-intensity aerobic exercise, the therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese sports is not significantly different from that of other sports. Moreover,it is characterized with simplicity and ease of learning. Therefore, traditional Chinese sports show greater potential for clinical promotion and application.
