Research Progress on the Correlation between Syndrome Type in Chinese Medicine and Severity of Coronary Artery Lesions

Abstract：This paper reviews the relationship between TCM syndrome types and the severity of coronary artery lesions. Coronary atherosclerotic heart disease has become a common acute and critical illness in modern times and is also an important source of disease burden in China. Its main manifestation is angina pectoris caused by ischemia and hypoxia due to coronary artery stenosis, which belongs to the category of 'chest obstruction' in traditional Chinese medicine. Clinically, TCM treats this disease based on syndrome differentiation and treatment, with good results. However, the association between TCM syndrome types and the severity of coronary artery lesions remains unclear.
