Abstract:Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Lingbao Huxin Dan in the treatment of arrhythmia after acute myocardial infarction. Methods: A total of 200 patients with arrhythmia caused by acute myocardial infarction admitted to our hospital from June 2020 to December 2022 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group (100 cases) and a control group (100 cases) using a random number table method. The control group received conventional Western medicine treatment, while the observation group received conventional Western medicine treatment combined with Lingbao Huxin Dan. The clinical efficacy, incidence of arrhythmia, heart rate variability indices [standard deviation of NN intervals (SDNN), average standard deviation of NN intervals (SDANN), root mean square of successive differences (RMSSD), percentage of consecutive NN intervals differing by more than 50 ms (PNN50)], and cardiac function indices [left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD), left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF)] were compared between the two groups. The incidence of adverse reactions was also recorded. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (95.0% vs. 79.0%, P < 0.001). The incidence of ventricular tachycardia, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular premature beats, and atrial premature beats in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.001). The RMSSD, PNN50, SDANN, and SDNN values of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.001). After treatment, the LVEF of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, while the LVESD and LVEDD were lower, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.01). The incidence of adverse reactions was 7.0% in the control group and 8.0% in the observation group, with no statistically significant difference between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: Conventional Western medicine combined with Lingbao Huxin Dan for the treatment of arrhythmia after acute myocardial infarction can improve clinical symptoms and cardiac function, reduce the incidence of arrhythmia, and enhance the overall treatment effect.
