Effect of Fuling Sini Decoction Combined with Gansui Banxia Decoction on Cardiac Function,Edema Degree,and Peak Expiratory Flow Rate in Patients with Acute Heart Failure

Abstract：Objective: To study the effect of Fuling Sini Decoction combined with Gan sui Banxia Decoction on cardiac function, edema degree, and peak expiratory flow rate (PEFR) in patients with acute heart failure (AHF). Methods: A total of 82 patients with AHF treated in our hospital from June 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group (conventional treatment) and a combined group (conventional treatment combined with Fuling Sini Decoction and Gan sui Banxia Decoction), with 41 cases in each group. The clinical therapeutic effects, changes in cardiac function [left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), cardiac output (CO), left ventricular mass index (LVMI)], edema degree, clinical indicators [diastolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure, heart rate, and peak expiratory flow rate (PEFR)], and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of the combined group was higher than that of the control group (92.68% vs. 75.61%, P < 0.05). After treatment, both groups showed increased LVEF and CO (P < 0.05), with the combined group showing higher values than the control group (P < 0.05). Both groups showed decreased LVEDD and LVMI (P < 0.05), with the combined group showing lower values than the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the number of cases with complete resolution of edema in the combined group was higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05), and the calf circumference was smaller in the combined group than in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, both groups showed reduced diastolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure, and heart rate (P < 0.05), with the combined group showing lower values than the control group (P < 0.05). Both groups showed increased PEFR (P < 0.05), with the combined group showing higher values than the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Fuling Sini Decoction combined with Gan sui Banxia Decoction shows good efficacy in treating AHF, and has a significant improvement effect on cardiac function, edema degree, and PEFR, without increasing the risk of adverse reactions.
