Research Progress on the Mechanism of the Gut Microbiota and Its Metabolites in Hypertension

Abstract：Effective control of hypertension can maximize the reduction of the incidence and mortality of cardiovascular diseases. The etiology of most hypertension remains unclear. There is a close relationship between gut microbiota and its metabolites and the occurrence and development of hypertension. This review summarizes the research progress on the mechanisms of gut microbiota and its metabolites in hypertension, aiming to understand the relationship between gut microbiota and hypertension, and to provide new ideas for the clinical prevention and treatment of hypertension.
