Abstract:Objective: To construct a nomogram model for predicting the risk of depression in male patients after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for coronary heart disease. Methods: A total of 158 male patients with coronary heart disease who underwent PCI at our hospital between January 2022 and December 2022 were selected as the study subjects. After PCI, patients were divided into non-depression group (111 cases) and depression group (47 cases) using the Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS). Logistic regression analysis was used to screen the risk factors affecting the occurrence of depression in male patients after PCI. The R software was used to build a nomogram model for predicting the risk of depression in male patients after PCI. The model was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, calibration curve, and Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test. Results: Among the 158 male patients who underwent PCI, 47 developed depression, with an incidence rate of 29.75%. Logistic regression analysis showed that age, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional class, emergency PCI, and residual stenosis were independent risk factors for depression in male patients after PCI (P < 0.05). The ROC area under the curve (AUC) of the nomogram model for predicting depression after PCI was 0.784 [95% CI (0.701, 0.867)], the slope of the calibration curve was close to 1, and the Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test yielded χ² = 7.363, P = 0.392. Conclusion: The nomogram model constructed based on the independent risk factors affecting the risk of depression in male patients after PCI has good discrimination and consistency.
