The Regulatory Mechanism of Qishen Yiqi Dropping Pills on Myocardial Ferroptosis in Patients with Acute Myocardial Ischemia

Abstract：Objective: To analyze the regulatory mechanism of Qishen Yiqi Dropping Pills on ferroptosis in myocardial cells of patients with acute myocardial ischemia due to coronary heart disease (CHD). Methods: A total of 120 patients with CHD and acute myocardial ischemia who were treated at our hospital from October 2021 to October 2023 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into an observation group and a basic treatment group, with 60 cases in each group. The basic treatment group received conventional Western medical treatment, while the observation group received additional treatment with Qishen Yiqi Dropping Pills on top of the basic treatment. The clinical efficacy, QT interval parameters at different stages, myocardial pyroptosis, ferroptosis indicators, serum inflammatory factors, and hemodynamic parameters were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group (96.67%) was significantly higher than that of the basic treatment group (81.67%) (P < 0.05). After treatment, the QT dispersion (QTd) during the myocardial ischemia period and the ischemia relief period in the observation group was lower than that in the basic treatment group (P < 0.05), and the shortest QT interval (QTmin) during the myocardial ischemia period and the ischemia relief period in the observation group was higher than that in the basic treatment group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of caspase-1 protein, caspase-4 protein, hepcidin, serum tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), C-reactive protein (CRP), and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in the observation group were lower than those in the basic treatment group (P < 0.05). Plasma viscosity, low shear viscosity of whole blood, and high shear viscosity of whole blood in the observation group were also lower than those in the basic treatment group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Qishen Yiqi Dropping Pills can effectively improve symptoms such as chest tightness and chest pain in patients with acute myocardial ischemia due to CHD, as well as hemodynamics, inhibit ferroptosis in myocardial cells, and reduce inflammatory responses, with significant effects.
