The Mechanism of the Fuling Xingren Gancao Decoction in Regulating the Rassf1A/Hippo Signaling Pathway for the Treatment of Coronary Heart Disease

Abstract：Taking the regulation of cell apoptosis by the Ras region-related protein 1A (Rassf1A)/Hippo signaling pathway as the starting point, this review summarizes the mechanism of Fuling Xingren Gansao Decoction in treating coronary heart disease such as atherosclerosis and myocardial ischemia. Fuling Xingren Gansao Decoction, a classic prescription created by Zhang Zhongjing for the treatment of chest obstruction, can exert anti-atherosclerotic effects by inhibiting the Hippo signaling pathway, altering the extracellular matrix, and regulating the growth, apoptosis, and migration of endothelial cells. It can also treat myocardial ischemia by inhibiting the expression of the Rassf1A/Hippo signaling pathway, thereby reducing cardiomyocyte apoptosis.
